I think Luffy was too angry at Kaido (who he thought wiped out his friends) to use Observation. Kinda like how Katakuri had to calm down to see into the future again.

That is a reasonable assumption. It seems that it cannot be used if the user is not calm and collected. He really should work on improving all three forms of his haki though, the enemies he is facing will be quite tough.

@@alfredhinton9962 We don't know if Momonosukes is voice of all things, or something different, it might be something to do with only his family and Zunisha. Luffy and Roger could only hear it but not make it listen to them.

@Broly the sarcastic savage Oda said in an SBS when someone asked if Zoros armament is stronger than luffy's. According to him, the monster trio have specialized skills. Zoro's armament is stronger than Sanjis, Sanjis observation is stronger than Zoro's. Luffys haki is stronger than them both

@@johnyreyes3567 He didn't say whose haki was stronger than the others, just what they specialized in (Armament for Zoro, Observation for Sanji, and Conqueror's for Luffy). For all we know Luffy has the best haki in all categories, or Zoro, or Sanji.

To me the best one was the second and third one laughed my ass off and got some onions stuck in my eyes a few times but everyone has their favourites. ZA WARUDOOOOO!!!!

You know what I love? The fact that we got to see someone awaken Haki with Koby or Usopp, I think it's way cooler than if a person gets Haki offscreen.

I'm pretty sure with Sanji "awakening" observation while in Nami's body, confirmed the idea that all the strawhats will have at least a basic grasp of haki before the end of the story

I think it is necessary to point out that there are an entire world of other options besides rock paper and scissors for this game in addition to the traditional three as well as different ways to alter or get around the rules.

Before Katakuri's future sight, I thought observation haki worked similarly to the sharingan, allowing them to observe an enemy extremely closely and use their movements to predict attacks early, only they used a sort of sixth sense rather than sight. But Katakuri was literally seeing into the future, like when he would predict what people would say. I honestly preferred the story before haki became so prominent.

THEORY luffy hearing the voices of seakings and of the universe is also observation. He also has super empathy. THEORY II ussop was sub conciously influenced by his observation to tell lie that are predicting the future.

When did Sanji use Observation Haki? I keep hearing he is really good at it but I must have really bad observation, I have seen his Black feet which is like Armourment but Sanji was surprised when X-Drake got behind him.

Aysa, the little Shandoran girl in Skypiea, awakened her Mantra/Observation Haki at a very early age. She could sense the life force of everyone in the upper yard. She could also feel them dying in battle, which really freaked her out.

Advanced Observation Haki allows you to see into the future . But normal Obs Haki does not allow you to see into the future actually . Users of this haki can only sense a persons intend like a left fist to stomach . But Advanced Haki is different you can literally watch what is going to happen like watching TV

It's evident that mantra isn't different from Observation it's just that its user did not understand specifically what it was and many of them were barely grasping its capabilities to the point where a minor distractions forced them to deactivate it. It harkens to Luffy's training with the ability where distractions or simply not concentrating got him a piece of wood to the back of the head.

It's pretty cool how Oda incorporated the general idea of having a 6th sense in the form of observation haki, but then show the many different ways people can hone that 6th sense to show there is more than one kind of "other" sense. I feel Oda is doing the same with armament that we might see more of especially in Wano.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure regular observation haki works by sensing a persons intent (like sensing an intent to throw a punch) in order to dodge ahead of time as opposed to katakuri’s observation which allows him to literally see the future.

Sanji might have two branches of advanced observation haki. One being "extroverted observation" being able to hide your presence, even from other observation haki users. It was definitely foreshadowed in his clash with King, King asked him why doesn't he just disappear again. I think it was implied that when Sanji went invisible he subconsciously hid his presence so that the commanders and Kaido couldn't sense him. Another is, emotion sensing. It's only worked on women because of the gag but, he was able to tell Tashigi was crying in Punk Hazard, he could also tell when Viola and Pudding were lying to him. Those are just off the top of my head rn tho.

That example with Whitebeard remind me of that moment when Spidey was snapped. A lot of people theorized that thanks to his spidy sence he felt his impending doom way before it would happen wich is why he broke down before he dusted. Because his logical self didnt know if he was gonna dissapear but instinctively his sence knew. I cant really imagine what exactly he felt, like how would you describe impending, unavoidable doom without really knowing it?

Hey Tekking something I think you may have missed in another video also is when Bon clay was carrying Luffy through the snow and was attacked by wolves, Luffy woke up and used conquerors haki to knock all the wolves out which prompted bon clay to say “Mugi Chan, what was that?” Or something along those lines

Can we have a video concerning Van Ogre from Blackbeard? Him shooting down that bird and Usopp being sure that no sniper couldve down it since there's not even land in sight is one of the most iconic moments

The other thing is you have to have good relaxing to match your observation Haki or they won't be able to dodge fast enough which has been seen a few times

I'm kinda interested in hearing Tekking talk about the merits of Conquerors. Honestly, for an ability held in as high regard as it is, I sometimes wonder how useful it is. There are situations where it's great, yeah, but most of the time it just lets you instantly beat enemies you were probably strong enough to beat in an instant anyway.

Observation haki is cool cuz it seems to be different for different people based on your personality where armament and conquerors are basically the same with maybe some different auras, katakuri can see in the future, fujitora sees the auras of people, usopp can also see auras but in a different way and the list goes on of different types

I feel like fujitora actually used observation at the casino in dressrosa because he kind of knew that it would land on white, so he always bet on white, which actually came, but he didn’t know it landed on white he just knew it would land on white sometime which is why he kept betting on it

quick little sidenote. in alabasta when zoro was fighting daz bones im pretty sure he used observation hockey because he said there's a sword under that rock that he couldn't even see and when that bridge fell he did say to daz "i just sensed where the debris wouldn't fall" so i'm pretty sure that is the first place hockey is seen but it isn't really called that.

I knew Tekking was gonna make this. Though not on par with Katakuri, I've (like some of you here) got some great haki. Watch out tekking is going to use Conquerors Haki in the vid. Don't be surprised if you pass out. He's almost on Shanks level

The time when katakuri stabbed him with the trident of tou flip that chapters numbers around you get the chapter eneru stabs luffy, both are observation based fights

Thought for sure that Sandersonia's snake dance would be in this video, bit off named techniques with observation in mind xD. Usage off armament, well there was the Kuja pirates using it on arrows. Also Luffy, Garp, Sentomaru (has named techniques) and Marigold who harden their skin and offcourse all Samurai and high lvl marines and Zoro who can use adament on their swords (that can turn into black blades over time still). And now we're getting an idea off this new outward armament haki that Rayleigh used on the elephant or to kick Kizaru's leg away, also Hyou who is teaching Luffy now and Luffy displayed it once when he was trying to get the collar off Hyou's neck by pouring haki into the collar.
