Over the Christmas break I got an email from StewMac that said their telecaster guitar kits were 50% off. That was enough for me to give them all my banking information so they'd send me one. I've always wanted a telecaster style guitar and now that was going to become a reality. I did upgrade the tuner, bridge and pickups to Fender hardware and electronics but for the most part, this kit is as is from the box.
Huge shoutout to my buddy Austin ( / 2chee ) for demoing this build and making it sing.

My plan is to build a 51 p bass... If I can get the materials and time finally 😂 I look forward to seeing all your projects!

Maybe I can receive answers from you: 1-Does the fret board come with frets installed? 2-How do you spray the fret board if it's rosewood or maple (I'm assuming it is-that's how it looks on the SM directions) 3-If the fretboard is not Rosewood/Maple and you spray it-how in God's name do you remove the lacquer? 4-What was the bronze foil tape you used and what is it called and where do you get it? 4-Do the pickups come with all wiring & pots? 6-If you substitute Dimarzio pickups for the StewMac ones-Do you have to replace the pots? 7-Did you have to "dress" the frets? Level the frets? Re-Crown the frets? I presume you would since the Stew directions call for it and the directions have you spray painting the frets with lacquer? In the last 2 years, I have emailed these and other questions like this-I have received nothing!!!!! You should be proud of this build- It came out great!! This is something I have dreamed doing (with NO help from the people at Stewmac-seems the "fine people" at Stew Croc would rather you spend 200-300 dollars first to get a decent response (Hell-any response would be welcome at this stage of time) Thank you for your time.
