Nigel Farage has said he would send small boats back to France unless Emmanuel Macron’s country “plays ball”.
The Reform honorary life president will make a speech in Dover this morning after announcing he would not stand as an MP but instead appear around the country to boost support for Richard Tice’s party.
Mr Farage said he would “make clear that nobody that comes via this route will ever be granted settled status in our country”.
He told Good Morning Britain: “I’d say to the French navy: ‘We will not accept your navy escorting dinghies to our 12-mile line and then handing them over to our authorities’.”

Then why is he not standing for his own party in a general election. Probably because he knows the truth . That shortly he will be moving to the states to help his other Billionaire buddy trump. The immigration policy is flawed: it would still mean up to 600,000 immigrants a year. Too many. Given the backlog, there should be a moratorium until this mess has been dealt with. The country is overcrowded. A reduction in the population would be a good thing and ease the pressure on resources. But politics being what it is, I suspect that's too much to hope for.
