It’s ironic that many Malayalam films made more buzz in Telugu than actual Telugu movies. Manjumel boys, Avesham, premalu, etc. it’s time that Telugu filmmakers realise that they can’t take telugu audience for granted. We’ve been exposed to better writing and we wish it reflects here as well.

Eagerly awaiting for Saripoda Sanivaram by the fantastic vivek athreya and nani team. What a filmmaker he is!

Bad days for inter and college going students..those were the days for us from 2004 to 2009 during my college days..use to watch every movie in theatres on release day..tickets cost was in budget..movies were good and exciting..now all gone for a toss..sad

As an average moviegoer, I must disagree with your view on OTT platforms. Instead of spending 300 - 350 rupees for one ticket, travelling to the theatre, and risking disappointment if the movie turns out to be a flop, I can pay for a subscription and watch the film at my convenience from home. Also, regarding your mention of 2011, what was the price of a ticket back then? Recently, the movie Kalki set its ticket price between 420 - 500 rupees. Do you seriously think an average person can afford this, especially if they want to watch it with their entire family and still expect to subscribe to OTT services? As much as I admire your content, please think rationally before blaming OTT platforms.

Telugu big films needs minimum 8 week theatrical window. Can’t believe that Salaar & Guntur Kaaram cam onto OTT within a month of release. Both films were still running decent in local single screens but OTT release killed it by making HD print available to all on Telegram.

This year, I am waiting for a film like Maharaja from tfi, by saying maharaja I mean to say is how from the rooted "tamil" space (of which Tamil film industry is widely known for a long time now) the film has come with neat(flawless) and clean storytelling, there is a space for telugu cinema as well which we (atleast I) call "commercial drama with decent amount(not more not less) of quirk(w.r.t screenplay twists etc. )". TLDR : I am waiting for this year's Sitaramam or Rangasthalam or Mahanati or Son of India : )
