Temple Of Sarkaroth | Desert Minecraft Build

A great Minecraft temple on top of the cave of the massive serpent of the dokarian desert.
For thousands of years, the massive serpent, Sarkaroth, was haunting the scattered villages of the Dokarian desert, eating both the villagers and the crops. The presence of this menacing creature made it impossible for any civilization to grow.
One day the magisters of Dokar came together, and came up with the idea to keep the serpent well fed through generous offerings, in hopes of keeping the serpent away from the villages.
At the southernmost point of Ushea, above the serpents deep cave, Dokarians built a temple to organize the offerings. The idea was a success. The serpent stayed away from the villages, and the Dokarian empire grew.

Awesome work! I imagine the drastic change in style was probably quite the challenge, but it came out so well! Looking forward to seeing the desert develop! Just some suggestions, considering the way the Serpent has been integrated into the desert society/culture, I think it would be really cool to see some of its influence throughout the area. Maybe some giant shed skins in the landscape (or even on display somewhere in a major city?), or monuments and goods crafted out of old scales that fell off the serpent and were collected?

Thought of some lore, one of the king's sons is accidently on the beach when the serpent 'comes home' and is eaten. This outrages the king who demands the serpent slain, creating massive political pressure and divide between the monarch and the temple who see such an act as inviting doom on the now prosperous nation. At the while the people are caught between not wanting the fear of the serpent looming over them or fearing total annihilation. Which could be shown in the architecture of whatever villages you build, perhaps a desecrated mini temple after riots in one, religous serpent slogans on village hall walls. Idk, fun and thoughts

I would love to see you build an Egyptian style pyramid with mortuary temple. You could have all kinds of hidden passages and booby traps in the pyramid.

@8:23 one thing i thought of to go with the "watcher" is maybe they light the tail/tower when the snake is "home" and put it out when it's gone. Although not sure how practical that specific tower would be to light and snuff out. But just a thought to add to the lore.

It is a very interesting and cool style but i think it would look better if it was grouped up with other buildings of this style. The lore is also really cool.

@@Viggoman ah okay. I just thought that since in the 80s Conan movie the main antagonist is a snake priest and in one of the scenes they have to steal a diamond from a giant snake in a temple.

Hey Viggoman, since the render distance of minecraft is abysmally small, have u ever considered doing fake mountains using the shape tools in world edit? Kinda like in games where u have skyboxes and fake 2d landscapes. I notice that in world painter the continent of ushea is purposely built to be lower than the sea level to give more room to the mountain(i think that is your reason) but in places like these where you are suppose to sea the mountain ranges to the east its kinda sad that you cant even see them because they are so far away... Anyways that is my idea that I have been playing around for a bit, i even managed to make scaled down trees and scaled down lakes that look decent in vanilla that gives an illusion of distance. If you want some screenshots I can provide some, I hope a builder with the attention of detail and dedication like yours can play around that idea for a bit.
