How about, instead of the king, have a sort of pharaoh, so a ruler who is also a diety. The name doesnt need to be pharaoh, but that would be the concept. Living in such a seperated pyramid really sets the ruler apart from his/her (maybe its a matriarchy) people, and also it serves as a show of his/hers divine power.

I like the market square idea, but the obelisk looks a little stubby to me. I think keep the base the same size, but taper in by maybe 1-2 vertical slabs along the full height (for example, if it's 21 blocks tall before the pyramid top, you'd have 7 blocks at the same width as the base, then 7 vert slabs inset by half a block, then 7 blocks inset by 1 block). Ancient cultures did this tapering to make pillars and obelisks look taller (and physically more stable). Also, obelisks are built as one piece that's lifted up from a laying position and stuck into a hole, and when you need to lever something like that, you want the end that's going to go downwards to be heavier than the part that's going to be lifted. Just a thought to make it slightly more realistic, but I love this project so far

I have a question for you... not sure if you can help me out. I am new to conquest reforged as a builder and I use the forge fabric loader and everything that come with it, I did add the victory mod and world edit to my mods folder as well. What I can't figure out is how to get diagonal stair rails with my stairs. The rails only want to stair straight, vertical and horizontal....not diagonal.... was hoping it was the debug stick that would fix it... that doesn't give me the option to change the orientation of the rails.... any ideas?
@Viggoman8 күн бұрын
You can alter the state of all blocks in Conquest Reforged. Try pressing V and you should see a pop up with different shapes. Here you can pick the diagonal rail
@teduchacz99508 күн бұрын
@@Viggoman I can't believe how simple of a solution that was. I have been using the different block states for other blocks and didn't even think about this for the rails. You are the best.... love your build! I am working on a desert city as well. I was inspired by a trip to Marrakech, Morocco

Given when the map's represented, the obelisk square would've been empty. A place where people would've gathered and on special occasions, a fair grounds, perhaps. (depending on what the monument would represent - some religious oriented areas had them, some didn't, for example).

Awesome video! Absolutely loved the fortune teller building, it looks exactly like i thought it would when i firstly suggested you it! I have a suggestion: perhaps, in the future, you could build a sort of "police station", even though we cant really call it police. The romans had a similar thing back in the day, called "cohortes urbanae" and they were responsible for all kind of things: from taming fires (they also were firefighters), to control riots like our modern day riot police, to just patrolling and doing arrests. I think it could be a good idea

Looks incredible! My only note is that the obelisk looks a little bit out of place. I think part of this is the color/pattern of the platform it's on, but the other part is where it's at. You should consider why it's placed there -- what about that spot made it desirable for some lord or influential person to reserve that valuable land for a monument? Usually monuments like that sit in front of big public buildings, in the middle of large markets, on parade grounds, on high-traffic boulevards, or in areas where open space is especially important. To make it look more like it belongs, you should consider putting an important manor or public building in front of it or adding some indication that this is a high-traffic area (e.g., a market or busy road). Or give the area a military purpose. Just some thoughts! Overall amazing build today :)

I like this. The things that occupy the space of the plaza would be natural and moving with the city. It’s hard to pull off something with that organic feel in Minecraft but I think this would be a great place to start
