Yeah if SM was smart about promoting, they’d aggressively promote Ten in the Americas and Europe.. but we know SM isn’t the greatest company for promotional content.

I'm just so tired of seeing and hearing people talk about how bad SM is at promoting their artists and groups and how bad of a company they are. As you said, and I often tell people, why spend the time and money to promote someone or something when they still find their way to the top even without promotions. I think that actually shows why SM has managed to hold one of the top spots for all these years, because despite what everyone seems to think, they really do know what they are doing. Their money is spent on creating high quality content instead of spending it over promoting things just to get people to notice them. I think what SM artists are taught is how to promote themselves, they don't need the company to do it for them. Case in point, only a few weeks after debut Ten appeared on Hit the Stage and really got people in the industry to notice him. Getting dancers and choreographers to notice him, got them to start to recognize his skills and had them considering what that would mean for them if they worked with him and SM's other artists. If Ten was this good this early on in his career, then how good were the other SM Rookies?, etc. Which only expands on the quality and talent, etc. that SM has to work with. Other contestants who took part in Hit the Stage, for example only appeared on one or two episodes and competed in only a couple stages, but Ten participated in the whole show and really made sure people took note of how versatile and innovative he was even as a rookie. This was the show SM and Ten chose to participate in because it was tailor-made for Ten's talents and skill set. It may seem like SM artists don't get promoted in the same way as a lot of other companies groups, and they don't. But SM is just strategic about what they use to promote themselves. Instead of having their artist appear on as many programs and events as possible, SM picks and chooses the best platforms and only has their artist appear on the programs and in the events that make the most sense and will have the biggest bang for their buck. Ten was a judge and mentor on The Great Dance Crew in China, not to specifically promote WayV, but he was on the show to show the Chinese public his skills and to get them to recognize him for his talent, so they would start to respect him. Once people start to accept and respect him as an artist than they are more likely to then become a fan of WayV and this will help WayV's promotions go more smoothly in China. Just showing up and performing at an award show or event doesn't do a whole lot to get you noticed, but if people can get to know him and respect him for his skills they will be a lot more invested in him and the rest of WayV.

I feel like a lot of times I am the only one out there that feels this way and am looked down on for supporting SM. I mean I don't agree with everything SM does, but for the most part, even the things we might not like, make sense when you keep in mind that SM is a company that is designed to make money and they are the top of the industry for a reason, so they obviously know what they are doing.

I can't speak for Jaehyuk, but I was dealing with some life stuff. My channel took a hit a few years back when I took a break to get my head right. That's why my voice-energy was so low those days, but I promise you I'm going to get back on it. I apologize for that and for seeing this comment so late as well.
