Where's the risk in sacking ETH? United will finish sixth in the league, miles off a CL Spot, finished last in the easiest group in the Champion's League, are going to get tonked by City in the FA Cup Final and have shown no improvement in their play. Can't see how it could be any worse under a new manager.

After 18 months of football there is absolutely no tactical play - players are not great but the manager is unfortunately poor we’ve got no style of play whatsoever which should be seen within the time frame he’s had.

Ten Hag, the manager who’s had no time (except the two years already in the job), no backing (except a net spend of nearly £ 350 million over 4 transfer windows) and we can’t forget that he’s not been given the players he needs to play a style of football that isn’t utter dross (despite the fact that he’s had virtually complete control over transfers). Goldbridge needs to wake up.

Did a truly phenomenal job at Ajax too bringing through De Ligt, De Jong etc. This manager is a long term manager, that's is where his ability last. You'd have sacked Fergie saying he was a fraud before he was given time - fact. Understand the history of the club.

Mark talks about red flags with every other manager when ten hag has multiple red flags. Keeping Ten Hag is also risk, Amorim tried to use West Ham to hurry liverpool and it backfired, that's the news that came out. Tuchel worked with a youthful dortmund team, he took PSG to a Cl final and won it with Chelsea which wasn't a great team.

@@JuliaRichards it’s not that they don’t get the team they want, they just don’t necessarily get the exact players they want. The sporting director will buy players that suit the system the head coach and the club want to play. The coach will still have an input but not the final say. That’s how it’ll be for Slot at Liverpool too.

he's outwardly protecting his players and taking the criticism himself. Pochettino is throwing his players under the bus and saying they're awful... They're doing worse. A manager who will purposely say stuff to take the flack over their players is a big man. It's not delusional, it's protection. I can't believe how thick people are. Mourinho used to do it all the time, say things that are daft to put the attention on him rather than the players. There are levels and layers to this stuff that people seem to be completely unaware of, or fall into - which is their purpose.

Watching Liverpool fan channels and ‘the club’ watch along both saying Amorim fell through with Liverpool cause he wanted control over transfers. Mark stated several times that no successful club picks players for their manager, well looks like Liverpool do doesn’t it? Mark will be against anything but if Man City or Liverpool want someone, mark then will want the same person for Man Utd. He will slag players and managers off but if city or Liverpool sign them he will say “INEOS SHOULD OF SIGNED THEM”

Yes they shouldn't have thrown away that Champuons League Semi Final. But it was a very young team that hadn't even reached its full potential yet, had they stayed together for another couple of years they would have been an even scarier team.

I think Ten Hag could certainly word things better but if you look at Rangnick, who was brutally honest about the team and Club... the Players downed tools and they kicked him out, after a few months... it wasn't even the job he was brought in to do. 😅 Ten Hag, at least until the Summer, is likely trying to keep these Players on side, for as long as possible.

I would still try and get De Zerbi. He is very tactically astute. Brighton's dip in form is coz of injuries. And let's be honest they don't have the financial might to fight on all fronts. They lost a few players in the summer. And playing Thursdays and weekends is never ideal. So, if you can find excuses for EtH, De Zerbi has plenty to give himself.

I’m for Ten Hag in. But I also think INEOS have already messed up. The poor run of form of late is due to the uncertainty surrounding the future of the manager. Players have checked out and look like they’re just waiting for the end. And the end is ETH getting sacked. Instead INEOS should have backed the manager weeks ago, not today, and thrown the challenge of performing at the players.

Mark I think your comments about longevity is the best insight on our situation I've heard by anyone, period! We have to give ETH the fullness of time. We will never see a manger succeed in 2 years. 4 or 5 might even be difficult. ETH most importantly is setting standards and raising player expectations while building a culture, that started before Ineos. I hope they realise he's off their mold and also appreciate the size of the task. To get back to the top, we need patience, slow walk to success!!!!

This season went downhill when sancho was playing all of pre season as a false 9 and when the first game started Antony just walked back in the starting line. Thats when the season went to shit because Sancho has lots of friends in the dressing room and they didnt like that treatment

I think the problem with Amorim is he has a release clause and it varies upon which club comes in for him. So if a club in Portugal wants him they have to pay 30m if any European club wants him then it's 20m but if it's a club that is a preferred choice of the manager or someone he wishes to speak to them there is scope to negotiate that 20m figure. Listening to Andy brasell and Kevin hatchard they have both said the figure mentioned to release him could be between 12-15m potentially. I don't think he has demanded oversight on transfers etc because he hasn't worked at clubs where he has ever had sole veto he has always worked within a structure and uses the academy. He walked from west ham because the sporting fans were unhappy he went off for an interview when they were days out form a title decider against Porto this weekend

We do play exciting football at times, we played great football against Sheffield for 40minutes. Like usual, it lasts 40minutes and our players still can't play it perfectly

Cant get Mount to match fitness when hes not playing any matches. Mctominay wasnt match fit you could see that when he came on and now hes injured...Ten hag doesnt care about match fitness he just doesnt fancy Mount because Mount wasnt his signing....people now need to be honesy about that. Ten hag doesnt fancy anyone that isnt technical, old or a yes man. Interestingly Mark you cant see his flaws as a manager but can point other managers flaws out quickly.

Sacking the manager will change nothing , just amazes me that some people can’t see that in these peoples eyes we should now be challenging for the league and all that nonsense.. how can he with some of the players we have and never having a first team fit for most of the season .. who is the manager who could do anything more , ten hag has got us into a final again with a mess of a squad .. and look at Liverpool and their new manager who in Holland was talked about as the next ten hag ! Kambwala slipped and yoll keep saying he made a mistake, come on its nothing similar to what Casemiro did yesterday. So really, do we want to stick to that story just to avoid playing the young players. Absolutely not fair. Also TenHag is his own threat most of the time. We have senior players not performing but the young players are still on the bench, so what message are we trying to send to the youth?

Ah come on mate Kambwala was poor in that game, yes the slip was unlucky but he was poor. But that will always happen with young players. I do find it insane that Ten Hag doesn't get the credit for bringing on these young players.

@@robbiefahy Yes he was not that good. But he is a 19 year old playing his 2nd or 3rd match. But he should have still played after that. The manager needs to show faith. Mistakes are bound to happen at that age. That is the difference between Klopp/Pepp and EtH. They back their youth. Overall Kambwala will be a good defender for us. He has all the necessary qualities. Apart from the manager's trust. Let's face it... Season is gone... Might as well try out the youngsters for next season.

@@robbiefahy judging him so highly over that one game as young player when he had a fantastic two games before that is quite unfair compared to the senior players who consistently have bad games but get game time does not send the right message. Ten Hag def deserves credit for bringing in these young lads to bolster the squad

The thing you have to understand the sky sports "reporter" is talking to sky sport pundits line of ex- players. INEOS regardless what the mainstream media tells you every 8 hours is not reaching out to them, there not taking with any manager beyond contingency purposes. Ffs we have what 4 games left, no decision will be made until after the Cup final.
