This was my favourite level of the series. I love how the guards occasionally managed to climb on the torches and burn themselves.

I miss this game, Tenchu is by far very underrated.

Ah, this makes me nostalgic. They should make an updated version of this game for current gen consoles. I'd play the hell out of it.

This was one of the first games I ever played on playstation I was 4 or 5, next to resident evil. I remember getting to a forest type level with dogs and couldn't beat it

one of my first games on the ps1, I was a young kid used to game like crash bandicoot and spyro. Then I played this and was obsessed with its gore and ninja gameplay, it made it a very memorable game for me. I would love to play this and the second one again.

i remember when an enemy would run away and disappear from your line of sight, that enemy would magically turn into a different person out of nowhere... when i was young i would tell my brothers " I TOLD YOU SOOOO!!!"

i remember that my parents get disgusted every time they saw me play this game, and that just made me love it even more :P

man looking at this now, I used to take FOREVER to complete levels, I wanted to kill all + loved the free roaming

i was hell of a freaking showboater playing this game!! is the fun part!! getting a grandmaster by killing with back flips slashes or 15 feet jumps lol!

Now that's how you play Tenchu. Non of that disguising yourself as a civilian stuff. A true master can use the shadows to his advantage.

this game's last mission is very hard . and there have many ways to execute the enemy :D

@AxSlipKnoT lmfao I still remember playing this back to the old times, on ps1 :D

Assuming the rating system is consistent, it really isn't that hard to achieve grandmaster. The game itself is hard as fuck, but at least the ratings are forgiving. I got grandmaster on the first level with being spotted like 10 times, having 13 undetected and 9 detected kills. I guess as long as you have more stealth kills than regular kills, being spotted really doesn't matter that much.

@N1ceV1d because the makers care too much about graphics and special effects and interactive controller free shit like that instead of just creating bloody simple and awesome games. advanced technology isnt needed for great game play

@Havenent101 i agree with u man i honestly have to say this game is more fun to play than the ones from the ps2 although the graphics arent that good on this game the environment is still great to go around i mean just look at this vid everything is dark from far away which makes the gameplay more interesting.
