Enjoying seeing things from a more experienced rider’s point of view. Just to know what looks right and what doesn’t, as much as anything. I’m sure it’s a right hassle at times, but we do appreciate the effort, cheers.

Totally agree with your tyre comment, if you’re main target is off road on ADV bike , use aggressive tyres , slow down on road , so much more confidence offroad

ORVS is a game changer, a proper spring can achieve so much but it has nothing to do with damping and bottoming - that is where the ORVS comes in - just better by far, of course they could also alter the valving in the KYB to make them so much better than stock, talk to them as KYB are bloody great in fairness

Offroad tyres work, OK not great on tar. Road tyres in mud, do not work at all. Totally agree with you on picking tyres for offroad performance and dealing with the consequences on the road.

Just seen this one great video them Yamaha teneres I think they are a lovely looking bike especially the world raid and they colour looks the best have you ever had a Ktm 450 exc to try as in comparison with the 450 Honda or the 890 adventure Ktm to compare with the tenera take care ride safe as you can doing what you do

I think 98% of riders just aren’t good enough to notice the difference between the bikes, certainly in the Brit rally champs I’ve beaten plenty of riders on so called better bikes. When I was looking at 450s once I saw the Honda everything else looked ugly. Lord knows how many times I sat on an 890, my last mx bike was a KTM 350, so love KTMs but for me the 890 is pig ugly so I’ve not really looked at it again as I just don’t like the look of them - they are undoubtedly great bikes, better spec’d but there’s so much more to bikes than specs. I bought the Tenere just because I love the look of them, I’m not gonna race it, it’s just for fun, and I wish more people would by bikes because they just love them sooner than what the specs say 👍

@twowheeledadventuresuk2739 thanks , been playing about with a 3.5mm external mic and the media mod but I must be doing something wrong in the settings because the crackle and popping has been so bad on test rides I just ended up using the rear mic on the media mod. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Your audio comes through so nicely

@@myktmadventures I use a Rode mic, run it from the media mod into the a hole in the foam of the cheek pad, so its tucked in away from the wind, and probably nearer my ear than my mouth. Had trouble with cheap mics in the past so just use the rode one now and it's been way better - www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07WM65GTF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

@twowheeledadventuresuk2739 thanks for that Mike, first bit sounds painful 😂 . All jokes aside thanks I'll give that a try , just bought a purple panda one which wasn't cheap as in 5 or 6 quid ,but then I looked on you tube and people were talking about settings etc on the go pro ,so was confused . I'll give it a try cheers 👍

@@myktmadventures there’s no way of adjusting the mic levels as far as I’m aware. I had a DJI one a few years ago and that was terrible, it was too sensitive and my loud voice just made everything too loud and I couldn’t recover it in editing. How old is the GoPro/media mod?

Hi Mike, noticed your rear wheel nut is on the right hand side. Have you done that for a reason? Wondered if it helps keep the axel tight against the stops when you tighten? As I always struggle to stop the axel spinning when trying to adjust even when jamming a cloth in the chain and sprocket? Another great vid by the way cheers

Do you know what I’ve never thought about it, it’s always been on the right since I got it and certainly as long as I can remember, defo on my mx bikes, the nut has been on the non drive side. Just had a look on Mototechniks website and on their bikes it’s on the left. Not sure that it matters, will have to investigate that one… 👍

I've noticed it a couple of times on other t700 and checked pics of new bikes and manual and it always shows on the left.... either people putting axel in wrong or they know something I don't LOL. Proper random, my wr450 it's on the right but on my xjr1300 it's on the left. I'm sure there is an explanation.

Swapping the wheel nut to the right hand side of the axle allows you to use your foot and weight by stepping on the wrench to undo that axle nut, instead of having to lift it if it's installed on the left hand side. It's mainly to help deal with tire repair off road, since you will likely be using a minimalist wrench, without much length to use as leverage. Using your weight makes sense in that case.

Do the heavier springs help the suspension work on the smaller hits better than the original ones .

Yes defo - my rider sag was always wrong before, I knew it but just never got round to changing the springs. And everything I’ve done will be used when I get it revalved, so not a waste. Taking the bike to a specialist is the way to go, they have machines that can analyse the forks and springs and set them up accordingly to the riders style, but for sure, correct springs and rider sag is key 👍

Yes and no. There’s nothing I’ve done that I feel was a waste or didn’t perform, but obviously adding it all up it seems expensive. That said, I don’t think it would matter what the bike was, most of the bling is what you’d put on any bike, maybe not the updated springs on a KTM 890 say, but certainly most of it is just the normal bits everyone buys, to make a bike their own 👍✌️

@@twowheeledadventuresuk2739 I totally agree, I tarted up my 701 and also put some essential upgrades on it, I don’t regret either it’s my bike and I like it the way it is. I’ve kept my little 350 pretty standard apart from some frame and swingarm protectors. I’ve heard and read some excellent reviews on the KTech suspension upgrades, maybe one day. 👍

that front tracker will kill you. i no. rear tracker is fine. you watch too many vids with people that want you to spend a fortune on your suspension. cheap trick put more oil in your forks 60mm air gap that preload adjuster will do nothing to stop the T7 bottoming out,

let the air out of your front tyre you will find if you have a puncher you will be running on your wheel rims. i spent a week in intenive care because of that tyre look at the weight load of the front tyre it is half the weight of the T7 REAR IS GOOD I STILL USE THE REAR. THAT FRONT TYRE IS LIKE PAPER. I AM TELLING YOU THIS BECAUSE ITS DANGEROUS. BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO LISTEN TO ME YOU CAN FIND OUT THE HARD WAY. ONLY FRONT TYRE I TRUST NOW IS A DUNLOP 908RR YOU CAN RUN THAT FLAT AND IT WILL NOT GO STRAIGHT TO THE RIM. @@twowheeledadventuresuk2739
