Anyone who’s BEEN TO COLLEGE knows that they do not just accidentally assign you a major in college!! You have to kind of KNOW the requirements for the degree you want and the university goes behind you to makes sure you took the required number of hours in that field of study in order to confer that degree on you!! Also, it’s the same with a minor! I wanted to have a minor in social work (it had been my major before I switched and I had over 20 hours of classes in that subject) but social work is a professional degree and I couldn’t minor in it. But guess what, I KNOW THIS and I also know da@& well what my diploma says in it!! It says just my major and no minor!! But I stayed in college long enough to have an actual major unlike some interdisciplinary studies degree or whatever lol. That basically says you majored in “college”. You should only get a degree with a non-major if you’re going on to a masters program or law school!

Remember when they used to do back ground checks before you get hired. We need to change the rules and have anyone running for government positions .

I am so disgusted with these lying, self-servings politicians that I could puke. Why are these people vetted before allowing them to run for office. When I was a professional software developer most companies wouldn't hire you until they saw your transcript(s) and validated any claims you made in your resume. It turned out that so many people had been misrepresenting themselves on their resume and they had no choice. The government, being in a position of trust, should be doing the same.

More local news stations need to do this kind of journalism on local politics! My local news station in southwest VA, bordering on the TN line, is owned by a right-wing media conglomerate and it certainly shows. Bias should have no part in journalism and this story had nothing to do with party affiliation. They simply reported on lies the representative continues to make to his constituents. This station did exceptional work!
