Tennessee's gun laws have left many permit owners with a lot of questions and concerns about where they can bring their guns.

I carry my gun everywhere in TN, especially anywhere that has one of those damn signs.

Criminals won't comply so why make it hard for law abiding citizens to protect them and their family's and others from attacks

Whenever I see a pistol with a red line through it...I just take my AR-15 in instead!

Help me understand. I have yet to recall hearing a story about a conceal carry holder at a public event/school/games/theater pulling out a gun and shooting someone over argument or dispute. It seems the only people that go into these places and shoot are those who planned it and the sticker on the front door has yet to seem to stop them. So again, someone on the left please explain how making a person who will see the sign and then go put his/her gun back in the car makes you safer? ..and the person who want to shoot you will not do anything based on the sign except maybe target the place as a good option that will offer the least resistance? One mistake the left always makes....they have NO plan for "A guy walks into theatre/school cafeteria and starts shooting...now how do you save the most lives?" They never start a solution with that reality because they know the only way to stop a guy with a gun like that...is someone else with a gun. Matter of fact what is the first thing everyone there does? THEY CALL 911 AND BEGS THEM TO SEND PEOPLE WITH GUNS ASAP!!!! LOL. They rather pretend they can actually pass a law that will keep guns out of the hands of people who want to shoot places up and make a name for themselves. Living in the fantasy world feels so much better than reality. Conservative live in this fantasy world with the war on drugs and Liberal live in it with war on guns.

Sure the Leftists (not true liberals) have a plan: Every time some maniac shoots a place up, you hear it from them. They want to take ALL firearms. They might start with semi-automatic rifles but we all know it won't stop there.

“ The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, Commonplace Book (quoting 18th century criminologist Cesare Beccaria), 1774-1776

I agree that a person that holds a valid Tennessee Handgun Permit is not likely to commit any crime and should be allowed to carry his/her handgun anywhere. Tennessee legislators should do away with "gun free zones". Criminals will always ignore those laws.

I reckon a lot of people believe in the old saying: "It's better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6".

One of my fav’s. My favorite; better to have it and not need it; than to need it and not have it.

As was said...gun owners...legal gun owners are not gonna start trouble. If you go somewhere, these folks aren't trying to hurt you or your loved ones. How many situations have you heard in the past.....if someone there maybe had a firearm....this may have not have happened .......

They act like we carry to shoot up a place. If only they understood one day we could possibly save their life from some messed up person who is unstable....criminals are criminals not because they follow a sign/rules

City and county ordinances are not allowed to infringe upon state statues. It's not confusing whatever the state law says goes. Whatever your city or county ordinance says is null if it violates the state law

If you can walk by a school with a gun the school needs to be armed with one.Safety first!

Seems practical. Most permit owners that carry people never notice. Experienced this myself.

Leave it to the media to make something simple sound difficult we all know not allowed in schools or school activities but there was one intelligent statement made in this clip that is eliminate gun-free zones as that is the safest place to commit a horrendous crime
