I live off Veterans Drive between the Singing River Bridge and Wilson. Let me tell you, the roaring soundwaves that come from those spillways is very noticeable and relaxing but yet intimidating. And if you live here you know what I mean by that. I've walked along that side if the river along the canal and old Florence wagon company site all my life. And I'd never seen the water as high as I'd seen it during this event. My mom and them her age hav said that it's been worse flooding b4. But this was the first time seeing it actually cover the river heritage trail and path.

I lived in tuscumbia most of my life at 43 that’s almost as high as I’ve ever seen it

The highest I seen it go is 460,000 Cubic Square Feet. The max it can do is 893,000 cubic feet.

The old railroad Bridge was once a great place to take in the sights of the flooding until some less than intelligent people decided it would be cool to step over the safety railings out onto the pilings. Now it's locked to prevent anyone to walk out on it in weather like this. Understandable as all it would've taken was one misstep for tragedy to occur.
