And why, because everyone is a human, who can make faults like you while you are at work and also an umpire, while sitting on the chair, have everything in their view and trying to make the best decisions possible. But you can´t be perfect, it is impossible.

Trying not to misinterpret anything, but an umpire is still accountable for what they are supposed to be doing. Why is it that in the first clip the umpire couldnt correct herself because she was "late"? Either it's a lazy job on her part, or she has a bias against a player. Two things stood out to me. Did these smaller events not have challenges? Players were complaining about calls being out and didn’t challenge, did they already use them all? that’s ridiculous if there were no challenges. Also players not knowing that they have to be ready when they are receiving. You’re not getting a break my dear, you have to play on someone else’s pace. In the same way their opponents have to wait for you when you take 26s on your serve. It’s the same game. One is trying to take advantage of playing fast and the other of playing slow. Only that the ones who slow down do it on both serves which is unfair.
@ramonecricket5183
@ramonecricket5183 6 ай бұрын
Yes, but the receiver must be given a “reasonable amount of time” to get to the line. So if the server is literally taking five seconds between serves like Vondrousova often does, her opponent has to be given more time to get to the line.

Tourte is mostly doing ATP too, isn’t she? Haven’t seen her at an WTA match recently. Asderaki is also not very active, I saw her at a few slams I think think year but not during the regular season (not that I’ve watched all matches lol). I honestly can’t think of good WTA umpires

Zhang is really, really bad umpire and i don´t understand why WTA keep her... Anyway, funniest thing that WTA tennist ever said is at 6:18 .. I was like, WHAT?! Could be even funnier if Zhang said yes 😁😁

How is umpire Zhang even still employed by the wta. I think it those in power were to watch a series of these videos they would fire her on the spot for gross incompetence.
