Djokovic should have won after the break in the fifth (he was leading 4-2). He choked, twice. The thing is Fed returned the choke, twice as well counting the tiebreaker.

The last time might have been the French Open in 2015 I think. It's CRAZY to think that it has been that long. Lifetime Fed is 23-3 against him and all 3 wins by Stan were on clay, but even on that surface, Fed is still 5-3 against him. Safe to say Stan doesn't "trouble" Fed like he does to Murray and esp. Djokovic. Just shows you how much of tennis comes down to matchups. But to be fair to Stan, he did had a couple of extremely close matches against Rog off of clay, notably ATP Final in 2014 where he had like 4 MPs or the AO17, where he pushed him to a 5th. Stan is ofc an excellent HC and clay player (sorry can't include grass haha), but matchups prevented him from beating Fedal and winning more majors. PS. Thanks for reading my way too long response that's even posted after 2 years lol

@leecherlarry

@@currywwe3586 the crowd cannot expect a 38yr old man to beat the much younger Nole in his prime. future people will respect Djoker's achievements but in everyone's hearts the Federer will remain the true goat forever. for all the joy and love he produced in the fans. these emotions in us make him unforgettable. but yeah. the Federer isn't a clutch player. and his backhand sux big time. his favorite shot is netting the backhand, typically as totally unforced error. will continue to lose against Djoker. what else could you expect from such an old dude.

@@saiparayan4047 Wimbledon does hurt but simultaneously makes all federer fans very proud. Because a 38yo grandpa Roger totally dominated Djoko & lead in every stats of the match, won his sets comfortably by 6-1, 6-4 while Novak was hiding behind his defense tryna take sets to tiebreakers so he could have a thin chance of winning, during which federer was making Djoko run left right & left with his attacking gameplay, & was a swing away from clinching the slam & beating nadal & djoko back to back but he choked due to his own mistakes. It sure does hurt but it makes us all proud of our champ & the greatest ever.
