If an experienced player's advantage is not training, then what exactly is the experience advantage?
@AsianCanadian_
@AsianCanadian_ 28 күн бұрын
@@vijayendranvijay457 experience. Novak has been through many more matches than his opponent and is used to almost all point combinations allowing his stress levels to remain steady. Experience is one thing you are unable to get through training. It must be done by actually playing. Think about practice vs match. all pros are beasts, but only the ones that can perform under pressure will dominate.

Djokovic hasn't find a rythm at all it's Griekspoor that beat himself making tons of erros in the second set, the guy was tired playing 3setter a few hours before a match with Novak.

@@sppecials606 If you watch keenly - you see Djokovic is still quicker and more agile than most younger players on tour. Difference is, he knows when to hold back. Watching his first sets in tournament opening matches, you'd be forgiven for thinking he seems old / slow. Watch at the crucial moments - deciding sets in Grand Slam matches against top players, and there is no doubt he is still one of the fittest on tour. Conserving energy / minimising injury risk and tiring an opponent out while raising his level is just how he works. This is why he wins so many matches, so many tournaments, and why he can still hold #1 ranking an unprecedented age. Chasing down every ball that comes over the net like a greyhound leads to fatigue and injury.
