he is impossible to compare with anyone. He is absolutely individual in everything. His voice has its own colors and its own velvet sound is incomparable with anyone, his music has its own style and style, his appearance is beyond any discussion, he is the most handsome man with beauty so bright and individual! It is impossible not to admire him! And I really respect the prince and love Michael.

Terence Trent D’arby is an artistic genius, and the music industry knew it very well. He was very smart and confident. He, or his music couldn’t be controlled by a record label. When the industry can’t control an artist, or their art (Masters). They use their massive public relations division. And put out that you’re difficult, or a prima donna and put your career on a shelf in oblivion. Michael Jackson and Prince had serious issues with their record labels. Eventually Prince owned his masters. Where are they now? (Guess who retained back MJ masters? ) They both died under suspicious drug overdoses. Prince didn’t have “ Slave” scribbled on his face for no reason. Terence is doing well. He lives in Milan, Italy. Probably saved his life. He has a beautiful wife, and a son and daughter. He still continues to perform amazing concerts all over Europe.

@2dalight1
@2dalight1 4 жыл бұрын
@Lillymay Parker if you go to his website(Sanandamaitreya.com) and click onto the section entitled "Biography/Facts and Figures"- you will see(along with other information about his life) the following statements by him about his early life in America: "Terence Trent D'Arby was born Terrence Trent Howard in Manhattan in 1962. His mother is Frances Howard, a gospel singer, teacher, and counselor. She married Bishop James Benjamin Darby, who became his step father and raised him, hence his last name changed, and he later completed it with an apostrophe." This information is from his own website. You can also get the exact same facts from Wikipedia. According to Sanandamaitreya.com and other sources, the artist formerly known as TTD didn't leave the states for Germany(while enlisted in the Army) til he was approximately 20 years old. He also won the boxing Golden gloves in Florida just before joining the military. When I saw him back in the late 80's at the Roseland Ballroom I heard him say with his own mouth that this "is my homecoming". I'm from the Bronx and I know a lot of people who are either related to him or went to school with him. Also, he NEVER returned to the states to live.
@2dalight1
@2dalight1 4 жыл бұрын
@Lillymay Parker Terrence TD was born and raised in the USA, I've haven't heard, or read anything from anyone- including him- which contradicts this indisputable fact. In the biography of his life which was still posted on his website as of yesterday at 12:35 pm when I last checked, he clearly states that he is FROM America. But he also has a section where you can leave comments, and incredibly enough he does respond. Why don't you write him and tell him that his parents lied to him when they said that he was born in NYC and that he should also disregard what his birth certificate says. The UK is a great place so why would they conspire to hide the fact that he was born there? Some of the greatest talent in the history of music has come from the UK........but just not the artist formerly known as Terrence Trent D'arby.

@wandertwins
@wandertwins 3 жыл бұрын
You have no idea what you are talking about. MJ nor Prince had any gimmicks. Neither were overnight successes. Both worked hard for their success. In spite of the ridicule they received for not fitting into some cookie cutter music genre expected of black artists at the time. Both were perfectionists. We will never see another entertainer like MJ. Nor will we ever see a singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist(he played more than 20 instruments with proficiency before his untimely death) like Prince. I dig TTD/SM. His earlier works and onstage presence borrows from the schools of both musical legends. To compare is ridiculous. MJ and Prince musical legacies were firmly rooted long before TTD/SM first single. Anyone who ignores their body of work, influence and genius clearly doesn’t know music.
