This talk will include the evidence for considerations when making decisions to terminate pre-hospital resuscitation when a patient is in PEA cardiac arrest. We will review both clinical and non-clinical considerations when making these complex decisions and allow you to reflect on your past and future clinical management.
Matt Stringfellow is a HEMS Critical Care Paramedic working on the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and Specialist Practitioner for the East Midlands Ambulance Service. Matt has a BSc in Emergency Care, PGCert in healthcare practice, MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and the Diploma in Immediate Medical Care. As part of the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice Matt focused his dissertation on paramedic decision making surrounding PEA cardiac arrest.
