Brad Fiedel composed the iconic soundtrack for the 1984 science fiction film "The Terminator," directed by James Cameron. The soundtrack is known for its atmospheric and electronic music that complements the film's dark and dystopian atmosphere. Some of the most recognizable pieces from the "Terminator" soundtrack include the main theme, often referred to as the "Terminator Theme." This theme features a driving, pulsating rhythm and synthesizer sounds that have become synonymous with the Terminator franchise. Here is a playlist of songs to evoke that same synth feeling, a metal heartbeat.

Watching John with the machine, it was suddenly so clear. The terminator would never stop. It would never leave him, and it would never hurt him, never shout at him, or get drunk and hit him, or say it was too busy to spend time with him. It would always be there. And it would die to protect him. Of all the would-be fathers who came and went over the years, this thing, this machine, was the only one who measured up. In an insane world, it was the sanest choice.

They didn't even need to do the Terminator-2. Terminator-1 is a movie in itself and is self-sufficient.

I think we need Terminator 2 because it establishes why the final version of Skynet was created. After the breach of the lab, Cyberdyne becomes a Strategic Defense network as a direct result of Sarah, John and the T800 destroying that facility, leading to further advancement in security systems to ensure something like that incident never happens again. Not to mention it shows Sarah training John like Kyle said in T1 and it was John's first real experience dealing with an advanced threat, preparing him for the war.

@@ECLECTRIC_EDITS I meant overall "cinemishness" of later terminators. Skeletons going into an offensive ... In T-1 the war was made by effective war-machines: all kinds of flying and driving autonomous devices with multiple "eyes" in front and behind. The human looking cyborgs were made not to fight in a direct battle, but to infiltrate and tear everyone up from the inside out. This T-800 was the absolute top-notch latest cyborg, undistinguishable from a human visually, how Kyle said. Kyle explained, that the war was made by an obscure Computer-defense network, AI of a sort. These things have emotions of a pocket calculator, they are not alive. It could have been just a mistake in programmation which programmed the computers to think that they must protect themselves, and not them "becoming self-conscient". It was ambiguous and obscure. Which perfectly shown in T-800 from the T-1: this thing is not alive, it is a battle-robot, a tool. The later Skynet in the form of a woman face of Helena Bonham Carter which laughs and speaks like an alive human, OMG WTF is this shit? 🤦‍♂🤦‍♂🤦‍♂ T-2 was fantastically made: actors played epically, the topics are great, philosophical questions, the idea that they can CHANGE the future by destroying the developping Skynet. But the whole idea that Computers, few minutes before their final defeat, manage as a last ditch send not one but TWO robots, in different times (why not both in the same?!) is kinda funny to me. It was explained that this time-machine was something the Computers just finished, and sending a T-800 was a very last ditch effort. The Computers probably did run out of Terminators all together. If they had the whole park of T-800, why not to send a squad of them? Pffff, shortly...Only T-1 makes sense to me. T-2 was an amazing movie, greatly filmed, great actors, very interesting scenario, just awesome. But logically to me only T-1 makes sense and is perfect.

@@andreilukyanov4286 I actually have a theory or idea that would connect Terminator 2 to the Future War and tie it back to Terminator 1. If you really think about it, Skynet was originally supposed to be nothing more than a neural net processor, it wasn't really a strategic defense network when Dyson was working on it. The thing I dont think a lot of people fail to realize is that if a facility like Cyberdyne would be destroyed in real life the way it was destroyed in T2 the company would take extreme measures to ensure something like that would never happen again. They saw the failure in human security, so if they were to continue cybernetic research they would put all of their focus on developing defense networks for research and military facilities, as a direct result of that lab breach, setting the stage for the real creation of the final version of Skynet that actually caused Judgement Day. In T2 there is a scene where Dyson has to give the hand to materials team to run another series of tests on it, so there must have been backup files of the Cyberdyne research, maybe in a military facility in Colorado? Hint hint. Regardless, the T-800 when referencing Dyson as the creator of the new neural net processor is referring to the fact that the new system was named after him in honor of his death, The Dyson system, and those are the files the T-800 is working off of, he doesnt know what happens to Dyson because his death would most likely be covered up as an accident/ Its very likely whoever took up Dysons work (Pepsi guy in T2) most likely would not have the same pure intentions as Dyson. This also explains why Skynet took so long to develop Terminators, if they knew the Terminator hand was their creation they should have focused on creating that and not on all the HK Tanks and Drones that would be developed for security defense grids, but they didnt because that hand was destroyed. This means T2 serves as an origin story for not just Skynet, but it also explains why John does become this great military leader, he knows that the weight of the world was on his shoulders, but in a sense what he did to the Cyberdyne facility in T2 being a direct cause of Judgement Day, it would not only leave him with immense guilt, but it would also leave him with an intense sense of responsibility for the deaths during Judgement Day and his resolve to destroy Skynet would be 100 times stronger,. He now has an internal reason to destroy the machines because he was not only the savior of humanity, but also its destroyer, but only he knows that this is the case. It still plays into the idea that are fate is not set, but our reaction to fate is. John and Sarah choose violence, death and destruction in an attempt to alter fate, but in the end all that did was to serve as the catalyst that created that same death, violence and destruction during Judgement Day. Look at the deleted scene where Reese sees Sarah in the mental hospital, there is a really eerie moment where Reese has a look of realization and then leaves and says "there isn't much time left in the world Sarah". With this new context you realize that is the realization that Sarah and John will be solidifying there fate by the actions they are about to take. Its very unsettling when you think about it. This now re-frames the narrative and adds an extra layer, but it also lines up with how Reese describes Sarah Conner, "taught him how to fight, prepare him for the war since he was a kid" ect we see this in Terminator 2. It is now a closed loop again because Judgement day still happens on August 31 1997. Sorry that was a lot of info but I just have this script ive been working on for a Terminator Future War movie, there is 1 more story that needs to be told and set in this universe to solidify the trilogy as a cohesive narrative. So hopefully my test concept fan film ill be releasing in a few months called Terminator Neon Storm (set in Colorado following the origins of the team that will one day destroy the defense grid) maybe after that proof of concept is finished I can share the full script with whoever is developing Terminator 7, hopefully James Cameron. Although with school taking up a lot of time its been difficult shooting and setting up the miniatures ect.

To be completely honest, listening to that last track, makes me think about how anyone could want to stay in a controlling relationship; we all have enough of that with each other, "random" people trying to control each other and make them live how they think you should. Culture, groups, government... why on Earth would you welcome more of that?! It's just this theme of some deep, old part of the soul refusing to capitulate, refusing to sacrifice your dreams for someone else's, refusing to lose your righteous autonomy as a human, and the never ending desire to be free, and to have your right as an adult to make your own decisions be respected. Always! Do no harm.

You need to do the Matrix films. Those movies have a wonderful score.

Nah. Matrix is too gnostic for my liking. With Terminator the Biblical elements are somewhat more in line with my faith in Jesus as my personal savior.

Any chance for a tracklist? I really like the "Future War" theme at the 13 minute mark. Sounds a lot like the remix made by Cyberwalker, but slowed down.
