Terraria Master Mode but with Projectile Only Melee - Part 1: The False Melee Experience

Welcome to a whole new playthrough of Terraria. In this one we're taking on Master Mode Terraria using only the projectile-only melee weapons. These are those weapons that do not have a melee hitbox, but instead all their attacks are just projectiles. There are just 8 such weapons, and only 1 each in pre-hardmode and pre-plantera phases. Is it possible to work with such limited options? Can we take down Wall of Flesh using just the Terragrim? Tune in to find out!

The goal for this series is to beat Terraria using just those melee weapons that are only projectiles and have no melee hitbox.
We are using a Medium world in Journey Mode, set to Master Difficulty (3.0) The seed is 2.4.1.88489068.

Terragrim/Arkhalis can carry you till Cultist master mode. Not sure if we can take down ML, though. But it's certainly possible in classic mode.

Not getting Terragrim in the 40 minutes of exploiting the shrine is unlucky. Probably you should've started this playthrough in celebration mk10 from the start. Anyways, good vid as always

Man I just love the terragrim since arkhalis is my favorite weapon in Terraria and I was really looking for a run like this great video man! I love your challenges and my dream is a meele challenge with only jungle thematics… maybe one day

Thanks so much for your kind words. I do biome only runs every December, but don't restrict myself to one class. But jungle is a large biome, so let's see if I can do a melee jungle biome only run. :)

@@YeOldMacGamer Oh man I think a just jungle biome items itself is a great run and you can do multiple classes after all will make more people look at the video I say the melee part because I always catch myself doing this challenge and thinking how much items of each class have in just one biome and how practical the classes can be, and in this challenge I think you can use the items that drop from golem, plantera e queen bee

out of curiosity, whats with the journey mode?

I started playing Terraria once 1.4 launched, when journey was default, so kinda used to it. I usually use journey powers of long reach and time stop while building the base, otherwise I don't use any journey mode stuff. :)
