The reason why martian probe is in the surface is because a common world generation where the surface is close to space you can tell by looking at the background the trees are sunken half to the ground

Not Even Blocks Can Stop This You're welcome. (It's a reference to how in 1.3 the Martian Laser couldn't go through blocks, so people kept cheesing it. Then ReLogic made it go through blocks in 1.4, hence the name.)
