Terraria is 2d minecraft people after realizing that there are more weapons in terraria:

if anyone wants to this challenge themselves, or if shardon wants to do a part two where the mechs are actually beaten, i've done a lot of digging and here are some potential items that could be used to help you ------------------------- ice sickle could be used, there is a frost scythe in mc dungeons spider armour could have been used in hardmode, there is spider armour in dungeons hornet staff could have been used, it's similar to the buzzy nest artifact from dungeons which spawns bees to fight with you spear (from minecraft dungeons) and trident can be used earlygame anchor and cutlass (from minecraft dungeons) could be used early hardmode huntress armour from the OOA could be considered hunters armour from minecraft dungeons and if you're willing to bend the rules a little bit more: butchers chainsaw can be considered mechanized sawblade from mcd toxic flask could be considered a splash potion of poison marrow can be considered the bone bow from mcd molten hamaxe can be the firebrand from mcd the witches broom mount could be considered similar to the cackling broom from mcd necro armour could be considered grim armour from mcd adamantite glaive (you could fish for the adamantite, but this is assuming you're allowed to use mythril/orichalcum anvils) (there are glaives in dungeons and afaik the adamantite glaive is the only glaive in terraria) beetle wings could have been used too if you are allowed to use orichalcum/mythril anvils, as elytra in real life are the coverings on the wings of beetles (which are present in the terraria texture) if you REALLY want to bend the rules: sinister sword from mcd kinda looks like a blood butcherer lol tsunami could be the bubble bow from mcd flaming mace could be considered the suns grace from mcd, could be useful in earlygame shroomite digging claws could be considered the maulers from mcd (which are described as a claw like weapon) weather pain could be considered the wind horn from mcd the volcano can be considered a netherite sword with fire aspect lol

Don’t know how helpful grappling hooks would be, but “technically” Minecraft did have an April Fools update where there was a potato grappling hook… also, if ya really wanna bend the rules: - Rod of Discord kinda acts a whole lot like infinite ender pearls - Endless quiver equipment is “kinda” like putting the infinity enchantment on a bow - there is a crossbow in Minecraft, so you could argue that the use of Hallow repeater is legal since it’s kinda like a crossbow - Jester arrows are kinda like putting the piercing enchantment on a crossbow - gravitation potions would be similar to the levitation effect given by shulkers - hellstone and ancient debris are both found in a hellish biome as well as netherite armor giving slight fire protection which is similar to hellstone armor giving you immunity to fire blocks - obsidian rose and/or obsidian skull is very similar to putting fire protection on armor - if you ever consider using traps, dart traps are like dispensers, wires are like redstone, explosives are like TNT, both have pressure plates and levers… - both Minecraft and Terraria have beehives (Bee Hive Trap, the one that drops down and spawns bees when broken), so you could technically collect a TON of beehives and use them on bosses - Cobalt shield, Paladin’s shield, Hero Shield, etc, “technically” all legal because Minecraft has a shield - Minecraft has rabbit stew, so for minor buffs you could catch a bunny and cook/eat it - the resistance buff in Minecraft (from beacons) could be similar to endurance potions / itonskin potions - the statement “as long as the end result is the same”, I’d apply that to fishing and say that “technically” even if you’re catching bait “the end result is the same”. If you do consider fishing, crates from fishing in Terraria are kinda like barrels in Minecraft - If you go into the dungeon, the alchemy table is kinda like the brewing stand in Minecraft (Both used for making potions) - As something for a TINY boost, if you’re lacking in equipment, the watch in Terraria and Clock in Minecraft are basically the same thing. You could make a watch, apply Warding or Menacing, and equip it for extra defense or damage - I’d argue that Wings are completely legal since Minecraft has the Elytra Edit: If you’ll only allow specific wings that match wings in Minecraft, the April Fools Poisonous Potato update in Minecraft had Elytras that could be crafted using a poisonous potato, so I’d say “Leaf Wings” would work since both wings have something related to nature and plants. As for Minecraft’s regular Elytra, best I can think up is maybe angel wings (Minecraft’s end dimension being theoretically in the sky, and angels theoretically come from the sky. It’s a big reach)

cant use platforms, could use planter boxes, villagers in minecraft have a simlar thing they build with dirt and trapdoors, and you could say that the trapdoors are similar enough to platforms, when opened they make a bridge that is just wide enough to cross and fall through, scaffolding is a good analogue to platform blocks

I’m a bit confused why you could could use bombs. Sure there’s TNT from Minecraft and explosives from Minecraft dungeons but never just bombs. Wouldn’t it have been better to first build a house to get the demolitionist? I think some additional rules should be: you can allow shimmer as a crafting step and if there is a closer terraria item to the Minecraft item you are saying you can use, then you have to use the closer one. I.e bombs are not tnt because dynamite is tnt

you can use a shackle with warding for protection or an emblem for sharpness or power and a magma stone for fire aspect or a lava charm for fire prop or a green hook for the april fools update like just think man there are so many enchantments you can use

I did try to make a series of 2d minecraft from an indy dev, MineBlocks the game. pretty decent fan copy, devs working both on and off the game with its sequel. Maybe try to revive the series but with current world mentality, I have to wait.
