Back during the Free Weekend on Steam when I first tried this game, I did build an Autominer with a Refinery and a Delivery Cannon. However, I didn't know you could place more than one Autominer on a Node.

Hey lath, those tractor pads, if you put them on an anchour seperate from your conveyor line, the receivers will collect from them too. I tend to place the tractors around to cover the widely seperate harvesting nodes and then let the receivers collect from them and run the resources into the refineries. it also allows you to collect from that distant set of nodes if you position the tractor pad just right....might have to run a mini base, using filters to pull from the distant tractor pad, then run over to a dropper near a receiver on the extreme end of the refinery base. it would work though.

Hey Lath, fun bit of info for ya. If you move far enough away from the miners that the area is no longer loaded the miners will continue pulling ore out of the ground but no enemies will spawn. This does mean that your refineries wont process and sell the ore as it is pulled out however if you went away for a bit and came back and plopped down dedicated refinery/selling techs to gobble up the resources quickly you would not be put into Prison while waiting for your cash. I often will throw down a clump of miners and go do something else like missions or random fun acts of violence against other techs while my miners pull out resources and come back later and put down a handful of refinery/resource cannon techs to clean up the place in about 30 seconds and drive away with my million BB's. Rinse and repeat as needed.

Hey lathland thanks for the autominer compression technique I was making an autominer base and saw it was a bit slow so thanks for helping a noob, this is the reason I subscribed

Ah, glorious glorious resource draining! Who needs those resources when you have MONEY! (I like the idea of the automation focused playstyle, it's always been a bit of a favorite of mine to build automatic mining rigs with cannons to earn me money while I go out and do something else~)

You should make a tower and put them all over the map so then you could switch from tower to tower to get where you have to get

you can put the collectors on the miners and have a receiver on the belt. the recievers will pull the resources off the collectors as long as they are not both on the same tech

You would get more connection points if you let them drop parallel with the hill then anchor it

Lathrix you could have built junctions like neuron synapses. One side has a collector another has a receiver. This would solve size limitations.

Did you know anchoring and re anchoring the attached miners actually forces them to mine the ore vain?

Have the resources go into a silo then have a refiney attached to silo then filter with refined setting n attach a cannon

We all knew lathrix would go off the deep end and go off on a murdering rampage.

You know , the more static your stay , the most peace you'll have , enemy seem turned off when you are too far of them , so if you can build everything , go in the middle , and check if nobody come after 2minute of AFK , it mean you can stay like that many many hours (real time) without any problems. I must admit when i find a location with something like 15green veins , i make my stuff , i save and i stay afk in the game on all night long xD

lol you could have fixed your base size issue if you had moved your refinery section into the center of the minning sector and used a storage silo (4x4 one) and a meeting point with several filters pulling to the refineries then attach the deliveries right to the refineries

techs only really start spawning in when moving around so turrets are good for when you're setting up

To avoid the max size problem USE THE DROPPER

Make small defence turrets, and use the largest tech possible for defence, like a huge air base, that pushes the respawn out, (i don't know if tech size changes the spawn distance but it is worth a try, and would be funny.

Also Geocorp is not the largest collection area oddly enough... *(like they had to try to balance them somehow?)*

Also, doing it this way, it takes about 8 hours to empty an erudite node. I have, in the past, done this; left the game running in the background and watched tv and movies and played some other simple games all while letting terratech empty the nodes. about 8 hours.

You overlap the miners on top of one another, if you want to have a heap of miners on one vain. You don't get more from it, it just drains it quicker.

My computer would die from that

When I attempted to automate my base I had way too much storage and everything falls apart. Then when I go to make something complex I can't because the component Factory eats up my components and stop the production of the complex component. Any tips to fix this.
