@@heinokunzelmann8967 it was a long time ago too. Not saying that in a "we shouldn't hold it against him way" but in explaining why no-one knows about it. Late2017-early18 was when we had a big news cycle about Nobuhiro Watsuki, but it was 2002 that Mitsutoshi Shimabukoro was arrested violating for child prostitution laws, and not many people knew who he was until near the end of Toriko in 2016 (and as you said, not many people even care about Toriko or know manga author's name)

I can't fathom why he couldn't just pay legal age prostitutes to dress in school uniforms.

@@redgrave4492 Not to exculpate him, because not at all, but Japan has a farily big problem of teenagers prostituting themselves to get some cash, and disgusting old men are happy to oblige. Some DO lie about their age, and Toriko's author says that the girl did. Still could have make sure, if that was really a worry for him, and the fact that he didn't makes it clear that even if he was lied to, he didn't care that much about it until he was caught.

@@garyconstanza3120 Once Unreal Engine 4 came out there was a trend of people making videos of popular characters running around generic test areas with default maxed out graphics settings. They'd be shared and commented on with things like "(Nintendo, Sega, Sony) hire this man!" Jump Force's "aesthetics" feel like a whole game of that.

There is nothing canon about it. It is simply a visual representation of her inner-self which is a lot more outspoken then the personality she shows openly. It is not some super power she can attack with.

I think it’s because in Japan bleach was never considered to be apart of the big 3, it was always naruto especially when you consider how well dbz naruto and one piece have sold compared to bleach. There’s actually a really huge gap between them

Blame Bandai's bland ass for creating these piles of shit and their fanbase for supporting this overdone bullshit. In Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, they added a "Battle Royale" which was basically a fucking arena fighter shoved mode into an already mediocre game with 10 or so players and limited fighting space.

Interestingly, Yoh was at one point going to be in J-Stars Victory Vs as a support character, but was unfortunately cut from the roster before the game was finished. My guess is that the reason why he didn't make it into the final game was because of Shaman King being bought by Kodansha. 😅

Fun fact: there was a point in Jump Force where Ryo (in addition to Ichigo) was the best character in the game because he out ranged everyone

At a distance of less than 15 meters, it's pretty easy to hit a target of that size, even if you only know a small bit about what you're doing. If you go out farther, up 25 meters, it starts getting a little harder. But even just looking at basic shot groups for the 25m distance, it's still comparatively easy. Most people with a decent bit of training would be able to hit a barrel-sized target, although probably not on the first shot. Going up to 50 meters, *that* is where it actually gets hard. The average person would not hit that target at 50m. However, well-trained athletes do consistently hit inside of a fist-sized radius around the perfect center, so every now and then a shot would hit the barrel at that range. Anything farther out than 60m with a handgun, yeah, that's unfeasible. At that point it's almost entirely luck. Of course, with a rifle it's different, but Ryo in the example uses a pretty standard handgun.

Finally!! Someone who appreciates Toriko's manga! I remember Ufotable doing an OVA of the 1st few chapters of Toriko in 2009.

Toriko a classic and agreed the ending was fantastic. Better than bleach and other shounen series.

Definitely the best of them by far. I had hundreds of hours in Ultimate and convinced friends to get it so we had a group of like 5 people who played it every weekend.

I love J-Stars, there is so much dumb things there, deck building is super fun. I used to have assist Light Yagami, drop an apple on everyone that will kill them in 5 seconds if not blocked. was funny as shit! them i learned deckbuilding is actually amazing and dumb so i could use Kinnikuman with 5 full bars doing extra damage on start of batle to instakill super easily on 1v1s

I find both worse and less fun than the Naruto ultimate ninja storm and the Naruto clash of ninja series 😅 But I can see the appeal of different shounen characters in one game. Too bad that I don't like the gameplay in those games.

@@buster3041 Yes. This, very much this. Two male characters can be showed to care and love each other without it having romantic undertones. To be fair, in this particular case, they had less of "friends forever" energy and more "only you" energy, so it wasn't just people reading too much into it.

Jump Ultimate Stars. I feel Bash was bashing it unfairly-he had to deal with playing the game on an emulator, which would inevitably ruin the experience. Then again, I played with an actual ds with my brothers; so my nostalgia could be getting in the way. Regardless, the game has much more depth than Bash was willing to let on-or had the opportunity to experience

Jump Super Stars/Jump Ultimate Stars are legitimately good games. Like, really good. There's Super Heroine Chronicle, which is basically just Super Robot Wars with magical girls instead of mechs. There's Miracle Girls Festival, which is a Project Diva style game (same engine even) featuring characters from Yuru Yuri, Kiniro Mosaic, Is the Order a Rabbit, Engaged to the Unidentified and tons of other slice of life/moe shows. Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax is a great fighting game with characters from Sword Art Online, A Certain Magical Index, Oreimo, Toradora, Durarara, Boogiepop, Kino's Journey, Spice and Wolf, Shakugan no Shana, the list really does go on for quite a while. Nitroplus Blasterz is also a decent fighting game with tons of anime crossovers. Fate Stay Night, Super Sonico, Senran Kagura, Saya no Uta, Psycho-Pass and tons of other series that I don't recognize. Aquapazza. Another fighter in the vain of Dengeki Bunko and Nitroplus Blasterz. Has characters from Urawarerumono, Comic Party, Tears to Tiara and To Heart. Pretty niche properties but regardless of whether you recognize the characters, the game is good. And Tatsunoko vs Capcom, which is a forgotten Versus Capcom game. Definitely a great fighting game, it has characters from Gatchaman, Yatterman, Casshan, and Karas fighting characters from Street Fighter, Mega Man, Darkstalkers, etc. I'm like 100% sure there's more than this, but these are all that I've personally played and can vouch for.

Shaman King has since been excised from Shonen Jump due to differences between the author and Jump. The author took his manga and moved to a new publisher.
