South Armagh were highly effective operators that can't be denied. I guess some of this was due to the level of popular support they had within the community. The thing I can never work out is how much the Provos were socialists or how much they were just nationalists? I guess it was a fairly broad church in many ways. South Armagh also raised a lot of the revenue to fund the war from what I can gather, but then after the end of the war it's implied that some lined their own pockets. But this is just based on things I've read, I have no idea what the truth actually is. I believe that Sinn Fein will eventually take seats in Westminster but maybe only after the former combatants die out. Sinn Fein don't seem to make lots of noise regarding a border poll etc. I'd like to know what the "plan" actually is as it seems to me Provo Sinn Fein arent much closer to the republic than they were 20 odd years ago.

NO MORE BROTHER WARS! I understand that our brothers can be some genuine arseholes at times, but we have REAL enemies among all of us, with much more "terminal" consequences. All peoples of European descent need to recognize this and stand firmly with one another to stop our deliberately induced extinction. This is a channel that discusses a real conflict and many of its viewers have been affected by this conflict in numerous ways and are now trying to find resolution and a way to go ahead together. We don’t need your right wing phony race war bollocks. So, with respect, jog on.

@@ATroubledLand If you perceived my comment as somehow seeking conflict or further harm, my words have been wasted. That's very unfortunate. My aims were quite the opposite, and I seem to have triggered some bigotry of a different kind towards myself. Heartfelt concern for one's people, for their future generations' well being, and for their ultimate self determination in their ancestral lands, should never be immediately perceived as blind hatred for others. That isn't a natural reaction of a historically strong and resilient people looking towards tomorrow. You might try to honestly ask yourselves why you would be driven to see it that way. It just doesn't seem natural, but hints at deep conditioning. I wish you all the best.

Makes me laugh, interview the local volunteers and you’re going to get an honest version of events. Not! Should have interviewed SGH, Slab and Patsy to give their version of events, icing on the cake. A tad one sided don’t you think?
