Terror Time is a visual novel style podcast playing the Curse of Strahd module. As our TikTok animatics/skits grew in popularity, you guys began expressing interest in listening to the full sessions. Luckily, we have our whole campaign recorded! We're made up of a group of friends who came together to play D&D for fun and are NOT professionals; we're just fans of the game and like to roleplay and draw our silly little fantasy characters. I play the Mascot of my party too, and i swear, if this adorable lady was part of it, nobody would lay a finger on her. But TBH, the Mascot i play is not half as adorable. Imagine Nick WIlde with two shortswords. He´s a Swordsage, the last of his Kind, (What the DM said, not me) trained by a Ghost of the old times, and wants to ressurect the knowledge of these martial arts. He wants to perfect his own abilitys, hone his skills and when the great adventure is done, wants to open up a school to teach what was forgotten and revive the ancient arts of the nine swords. That makes him often pretty serious, and given his fighting prowess and high wisdom he´s not easy to scare off and wants to be respected. But i made him pretty young, so he can falter sometimes, and need a little encouragement. And if you ask if he´s Strong? He can, at least for a fiew rounds, deal close to double the damage in one round then he can take himself, currently at lvl 14. (95HP) so yeah, he´s the top damage dealer while being agile to the DMs annoyance^^

I'm no expert for CoS and I am no stranger to partys with a heavy focus on a certain element / direction (and/or lacking in multiple areas of expertise), but looking at these six, I can't help but worry a bit. Is Beau supposed to be their tank? And what happens if diplomacy fails and magic/divinity is not a solution? Is everything going to be up to timid cute little Xhuri's improvisation skills? Honestly, I can't help but wonder about the GM choice to add a third cleric to the other five (unless there was no discussion beforehand).

@@VibeCheckDnD I'm grateful for the preview with it's minor spoiler! I was going to be sad if any of these level 1 babies died in their first encounter. My first character (poor little monk...) died to the boss of my first-ever session, some kind of drake-type. The rest of the party (a fighter and ranger) survived thanks to his sacrifice, so at least he could die proudly with his head held high. I just had a knee-jerk/flashbulb thought, and I'm a little hesitant to make this offer, but here goes... I don't have any voice acting credits to my name yet, and I certainly don't want to disrupt your group's dynamic or the general flow of what you all have going on currently, but I'd be very happy to work with your team in the future. Of course there are no hard feelings if you're not interested mind-you, I just thought you all seem like delightful people to work with. I suppose I should make a profile on Indeed.com for something like that, but here's a brief summary below. Teaching pays the bills (barely) but having a creative outlet is always welcome, so I'm happy to offer my services pro bono. I have three years of experience in radio webcasting, over 6 years of teaching experience, primarily in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), several months with native speakers of Spanish, but most of it was in Japan. I also have some experience in public speaking, vocal lessons, acting, and singing. I have a decent vocal range, though I'm generally a low baritone at rest. Anyway~! Thank you to anyone who took the time to read my long-winded offer for free voice acting and friendship, I look forward to seeing more of this party. You've earned a subscriber to say the least! 👍

As a DM I'm so gun-shy of making DMPCs/NPCs that get into combat, because even if I under-scale them either they have absurd levels of luck or I accidentally synergized their build into being stupidly powerful, as witness the level 8 NPC who one-rounded a T-Rex while showing the party where to look for medicinal herbs.

Agreed, these kind of magic users means tons of healing for all, and the main two brawlers will be buffed a lot. From a power gamer standpoint, xhuri is just a mascot. I still hope she wins with mechanics rather than Roleplay.

Hee, Animal Handling for pettin's. My group's got a Tabaxi in it, so we've done a bunch of that, too. So far there haven't really been any duds, apart from when the Big S himself decided he absolutely *must* respect his latest guest's customs (in this one very specific instance). That night, Mr. Cuddles learned that, while they may have impeccable petting technique, getting pets from a Vampire is still _incredibly_ unsettling.

Cadril seems like the kind of guy who outwardly dislikes having such a large party, but as the game goes on, he comes to actually enjoy their company - no matter how loud and obnoxious - and will be there to protect them if they are ever in danger. Love all the characters, but Amalthea has my whole heart. I love the mix of sweet and friendly, and a little hint of sheltered religious upbringing. Slightly socially awkward, but well-meaning and kind. I'll have to wait for the next episodes to see if that interpretation holds up.

Ahh, I love a good Curse of Strahd campaign, and the art is beautiful. I played this module with a group back in 2020. My character was a bobcat tabaxi named Junebug, who miraculously didn’t die or lose her soul at any point during the whole adventure. I remember that campaign fondly, and I’m always happy to see a fresh cast of characters go through the gauntlet of nihilism that is Barovia.

I really enjoyed observing the overall mood of the party and how each character interacted in their own way naturally without talking over each other despite doing it on discord. I love the detailed simple portraits of all the characters in standard poses, but I love even more the small doodles of the small personally things that each character does. Its a beautiful and simple way to give life to the characters. I Love It All! Keep up the awesome sessions!

My group just started a game of curse of strahd. We got 4 characters, using primarily the 3rd party suppliment book: Valda's spire of secrets, but I've been having a blast. I've got a 6'6" himbo of a zariel Tiefling (7'6" if you count horns.) He's using the MCDM illrigger class, and I'm basically playing him as an enthusiastic thrill-seeking man-child who's just excited to fight horror monsters. We just finished the death house, and it was fun as hell.

I absolutely LOVE this animation style. It's so simple, yet it always feels so genuine to the feel of characters in a D&D session. I also love the artstyle! Can't wait to see more of this and follow these adventures. Also, you automatically win my love for this with a cute little kobold girl. Kobolds are one of my favorite races.

Im new here, but im LOVING this style. Even just this basic level of animation gives SOOOOOO much to the audience. It all being imaginary works for the players, but ive never been able to stay locked in unless i was the one playing, and i dont have that problem at all here. Im totally invested.
