Ha I actually did the Fight "announcer" voice for this game, glad everyone is Enjoying it! The team did really well! You cant tell cause the vid skips around a bit but yea it was fun and i love seeing ppl have fun with the game! EDIT: Just wanted to point out that James and Mike are playing the "older" version of Terrordrome aka the non updated version.

I'm just psyched that someone recognizes Pumpkinhead as a horror icon. We had him airbrushed on the side of our fishing river dingy about ten years ago. Right on!

There is a sequel, "Terrordrome: Reign of the Legends", in the works that will have a playable demo out in March of 2018. It's a kickstarter.

Imo, Netherrealm Studios might as well just make a AAA horror fighting game, considering how many guest characters there were in Mortal Kombat X. Terrordrome is pretty cool, but with proper studio resources, such a game would really kick ass.

Originally there was going to be a Universial Monsters fighting game by Capcom. But because of licecing issues, many of it's assets got changed to be more original characters and eventually became what is now known as 'Darkstalkers'.

The part that lights my soul is the sound of frantic button pushes. Old times...

If only movie companies wouldn't be so tight assed, we could have games like this!

Just the fact that this exists is enough to make me happy. I was an 80's kid with a subscription to Fangoria magazine. These characters were a significant part of my childhood. Definitely feeling the nostalgia from this one.

For the record, they're making a sequel where they'll be including a lot of classic monsters. From their website; "Please, note that we are not going to use any copyrighted characters this time. We’re aiming for classic monsters such as Frankenstein’s creature (mainly public domain characters), urban legends and own ideas."

Wow, this game has true love and passion all over it. This is practically how most people imagine a tournament fighter of beloved slasher/horror villains. This game should serve as a standard for fan-games.

You guys were correct that there was no Hellraiser game, although there was one planned briefly in the early 90s that were going to use gameplay mechanics from Wolfenstein 3D.

There is a Terrordrome 2 coming out but it's not going to have any licensed characters because they need money. Maybe hopefully in the future they can make number 3 with licensed characters again.

Here's the big question though: If a bigger "production : higher quality" version of this came out, would its popularity see it banned...since, this guy is still using the characters without permission, yet it's not that popular to get noticed and copyrighted by the producers?

So, I have no idea if Mike was aware of this, but there *was* a Hellraiser game being developed by color dreams for the NES. It ran on a version of the Wolfenstein engine, as well as a "Super cartridge", which had a z80 on board, among other things. It was canceled because the game was, for obvious reasons to those who know about color dreams, unlicensed, and would never have sold well enough to keep the business afloat.

Mortal Kombat has some rights to a few of these characters so it could be possible to make a horror fighting game. They have Jason, Freddy, Leatherface, Predator, Xenomorph. And they are saying Ash Williams will be dlc for Mk11.

They should add Norman Bates from Psycho, Jigsaw from the Saw movies bringing out the torture devices, the Babadook, the Bughuul from Sinister, Pennywise the Clown, Regan from The Exorcist, Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of the Lambs, Samara from The Ring, and Damien from The Omen. Perhaps even include characters from outside movies like Jeff the Killer and Slenderman

It's funny you guys say a game like this could never happen, because apparently Netherrealms, the Mortal Kombat team, haven't just been adding those horror characters to the games for fun. They actually have been doing it to slowly over the years gain the video game rights to all these characters so they make a game like this on a big budget. So far they seem to have a decent balance of characters from silver, bronze, and modern horror. Only thing they're really missing right now is golden age horror(which to be honest would probably be very hard to get the rights to any of those faces). Freddy, Jason, Chucky, Xenomorph, Predator, Leatherface, Samara, Babadook and a few others are with them right now.

I remember in 1st grade (some 20 years ago) talking about this kind of game coming out for SNES. every monster I recall from the tellings around the playground is in here and more. It kinda blew my mind all these years later finding an actual game that looks like the old recess fables.

This game needs The Driller Killer from Slumber Party Massacre II as a playable character. Not because that movie was any good, 'cause it wasn't. But it had an undead rockabilly killer with an Electric Guitar Power Drill. Who wouldn't want that in a game?

I would love to see MacReady from the Thing, Dr. Brundle, Max Renn from Videodrome, Edward Jessup from Altered States, maybe even Jobe from Lawnmower Man! There are so many possibilities for this.
