Hi folks :) I hope you’re having a great day so far! Welcome back to what’s for tea, and our wee Tesco grocery haul... I hope I find you all very well.
This week we just went to Tesco…This week we spent just over £42 :) This will do us for the week ahead. I do mini top-up shops throughout the week too, or pick up things I’ve forgot to get. And I’ll need to nip to the butcher too.

I love seeing what you’ve bought in groceries. I live in Florida and it’s fun to see where your produce comes from! We went to Scotland for the first time this year. It’s beautiful and magical.❤

Just made your beer battered fish and chips tonight, they were awesome. I only buy tomatoes that I can smell through the little vent holes, If I can't smell them, I don't buy them lol. I'll certainly try those jacket potatoes, they seem like a good alternative to making your own. Thanks for sharing Cheryl, as always, you give me some great ideas. xxx

New subby here! Love seeing your grocery haul. Your food there is cheaper than food here. Our food costs have gone up so much over the past three years. One thing I noticed about food in the British isles when we visited is that it tasted so fresh. Our food in the USA comes from who knows where on trucks. I love the packaging of your food too especially when they have the Union Jack or Scottish flag on them. So cute!

When it comes to mixed green salads....the darker green/purple lettuce always is the first to go off. And it's also the one that gets slimey. So, if you make sure those greens are ok, then the rest will last longer....

Your butter there can be made by blending of oil with normal butter to make it spreadable. But you probably know that!😃

cheryl i saw one of your earlier videos from years ago your voice has changed , back then it was very low but now your voice is very high lol , i cant remember which video it was but it was one of the earlier videos , love your videos i always check them every week , i made your famous fish pie and it turned out lovely thanks too you and your youtube recipe, greetings from central scotland xx

I always thought the red leaves taste like dirt 😂 I don’t eat them. I wish they sold them canes jacket potatoes over here in the US but but they don’t. They sell the french fries and they sold these quick cook french fries which I didn’t particularly like as much. It didn’t have a good texture like regular french fries.

My mate Keith (he lives in London, and I in Lancaster) once said to me, "When you go shopping, do you tend to buy the same things each week?" Yes, I do! ... And I have a saying, "Never try anything new, because you probably won't like it!" 🤮 🤣 I buy Aldi Fruit & Nut Mix (£0.55) to add to my cereals, and unlike Mr. What's For Tea, our late Queen and Paddington, I don't like Marmalade either! 🤮

I can't believe the food prices in Scotland! They are so much better than the prices we are paying here in the US for food even when you convert £ to $. Even Aldi here is so pricey now.

Hi Cheryl, I was wondering what temperature you consider "roasting". I know you are much further north than where I live, so I am sure you are used to cooler weather, but I was just curious.
