This high-impact drama - loosely based on the style of modern cult ‘gangster’ movies - brings to life the issue of in-store theft, encouraging staff to proactively stay alert to activities of all possible perpetrators and to be aware of the different ways in which theft takes place in-store. The film has been shown to all 300,000 in-store Tesco staff in internal sessions, both raising awareness of the severity of the problem and empowering staff to approach suspicious-looking individuals with the ‘offer of help’.

That £20 she gave him wasn’t even real. I think these two have got some kind of counterfeit operation going on.

Oh there were people not paying for their lunches with products from the shop floor, people nicking damaged items that were supposed to be recorded. In 2018 they introduced the Colleague Shop where staff could buy items going off at midnight for a penny, but some thought they should have it for free. In theory, you could deliberately damage a product, have it taken off the system and end up taking it home. I remember going home with 5 boxes full of burgers because they were dated wrong, so instead of throwing them out (which I'm assuming would be policy), they were handed out to colleagues.

The shop where i work would rather bin it than sell stuff to the staff, i work on the back door and see cases of beer thrown away daily because a bottle or can inside the case is damaged or leaking, and yet we are always being told to save money

I once witnessed in my local Tesco Horsham, two guys came running down the escalator arms filled with DVDs & CDs nearly ran me down as I was heading to the ladies toilets, they ran out the doors alarms going off, stupidly I chased them just to see where they went just incase to give a statement to police! they ran to their getaway car parked near the gas station on the way out the car park.

Because of Tesco's economic pull how much police time was wasted trying to find the people who were rubbing off an "E" and an "s" off of the back of Tesco's vehicles. Turning "Every Little Helps" into "very little help" and shit loads of police time and money were spent chasing who was responsible.

Nature provides us with enough food for every living creature on the planet. Farmers and supermarkets have the responsibility of growing, harvesting and distributing it responsibly. Billions of pieces of single-use plastic from each supermarket. Abusive and polluting factory farming. Selling products tested on animals and burning the rainforest for palm oil or soya. Clearly the food industry is not doing its job properly. Governments should legislate on these issues before it is too late. Tesco are responsible and should stop operating its business in such a dark, horrible and destructive manner. behave, in my closet Tesco, right off the highstreet in Liverpool, the secruity station is literally by the one way entrance and exit door, when you walk into the shop you can see clear as day the secruity camara feed, its on an 8-10 second interval for each camera and there is usualy only one security team member on during the week, its a great place to grab a free lunch mon-fri 😂

GGbro listen mate it’s a harmless crime one which the police themselves no longer respond to, and with a recent survey being done about self service checkouts and shoplifting, a staggering 3/4 of people polled (out of 2,500) admitted to putting through items without scanning them at least once during a shop, bear in mind this was at one shop location (I believe it was a Morrison’s in Surrey) more people do it than you think, also whilst we’re on the topic of Morrison’s a good friend of mine recently picked up a job behind the deli counter at our local store, the deli counter is directly opposite the alcohol isle and after speaking to him jokingly about people shoplifting the store he said that it’s mostly old people that’ll come in mid afternoon and steal two-three bottles of whiskey, rum, vodka, now I’m gonna take an educated guess and say that at least half of those people have voiced their outrage at some point about the youth shoplifting and all that other mindless babel, that’s the real scum right there. Hypocrites. Oh FYI I’m still enjoying my mon-fri free lunch’s if you were interested 🤣😘
