Yes! Another alternative is a hair dryer instead of a heat gun

You have PPF under the emblem? Or around the emblem?

PPF is designed to adhere closely to the car's paint, and pulling off an emblem can lift or tear the film. So, if the PPF is under it, you may risk pulling it up and if the PPF is around it, you may risk peeling up those edges. To mitigate these things, use low heat on your heat gun and don't let it sit too long on the area as it could burn the film. You could even use hot water instead of a heat gun. When separating the emblem from the car, don't use anything sharp or abrasive. Slide the floss/string/fishing line behind the emblem and use a sawing motion to cut through the adhesive WITHOUT pulling on the PPF. After the emblem is off, use a PPF-safe adhesive remover like 3M adhesive remover or goo gone to clean up any residue. I wouldn't risk using the 3M eraser on the film.
