I use my car icebox, which is going out & I need a new one, for when I pick up my insulin @ the pharmacy. I have to take 3 kinds five times a day. I don't always carry a ice chest, but I always have my car ice box. The pharmacy tries to give me those ice packs & they always melt, in summer, in my bag. So when I'm carrying the bag in it rips & I have a mess to clean up on my driveway or yard. For those who don't know, insulin always has to be refrigerated or it will go bad & @ $175.00 each, my cost, I'm not taking any chances. It looks good in his car. I need to get one like that one. I've got a chest model & it takes up a lot of room. Since mines going out, I'm going to look into that one. Thanks for showing it. Have a nice day, Chris from Missouri

I had something similar for road trips in my 1966 Mustang. It was just a cooler, that plugged into the cigarette light similarly. Could hold a 6 pack of cans. Could also keep things warm. Didn't get down to freezing levels though. It was neat. Gift from my Dad. Had a strap too, so when you arrived ypu could pick it up and carry it with you to the beach, or a picnic, into your hotel room, etc.

This seems good as a day trip fridge where it stays off unless you are doing a road trip. You could run a constant 12v to run this constant but you will likely have to defrost it consistently. Better to stick to the 12v fridge in the lower truck area instead, maybe this could be a supplement only

It really is not a flaw in the unit, but the car turning off the accessory outlet. It could use a chime to go off when it is open too long, like a regular fridge.

I love the concept! But for only holding two small drinks and costing $300.. not an immediate buy for me. But if I could fit more drinks and/or cheaper, it had a backup battery to work when the car is off, and an alarm/beep for when the door is left open too long then I would love to have this for car trips!

Wait… if it cools the drinks, does it also makes hotter inside of car? Because heat needs to come out of refrigerator?

Thanks for the review! Aside from being a bit pricy, it is a great little fridge. You just need to remember to put it in the correct mode (freeze, cool, or warm -- you had it on freeze). It also holds more drinks if you don't buy larger bottles. It will actually hold 7 normal size soda cans. I don't have my fridge yet, so I'd like to know two things. First, how fast will it cool a six pack of soda cans from room temperature. Second, how many mini soda cans will it hold?

Very portable nice fridge for daily usage.

I actually got a cigarette lighter socket wired up to my Model Y's frunk and then put one of those 12V car fridges in there. I saw this one but didn't want to compromise on middle passenger legroom.

If that's fit like 4+ 1l bottle then yep have a sense. For 2 small bottle I don't think.

If I want a cold drink, I don't want to have to store it in the back row. It'll be highly inaccessible. Are cost and maintenance worth it altogether ? Most vehicle mini-fridges hold more than 2 drinks as well.

Hey @whatsinsidegamilly I’m finishing building a similar product for the same purpose at a retail cost of 50$ and it has lithium battery with 12x12in space or 24x12 in space you can basically fit a lot more and you can take it out of your car to take to the beach while it can also float in water if you find yourself at a pool. I would love to send you a sample to test it out and review it.
