Glad to see that Matt's adjustable mount is improving. At some point I'm going to have to buy it, however I really don't like how open it is on the rear of the screen now. But I'm hopeful Matt can find a solution, maybe for the next version.

I installed the Atlasplus on my 23 Model Y, and this beefy tilter works great and looks good too due to the 3d printed cover parts. Such a great upgrade - pans and tilts perfectly with no drop to the screen on either side, and very easy to install with a few standard tools - watch and understand the installation videos. For me as a taller driver, its perfect and a great improvement to ergonomics while also making the screen easier to read. Got the discount too - thanks Frugal Tesla Guy!

I would like to raise the screen 3" or more from the swivel mount I have and my hand and the wheel blocks a good part of the screen. I will keep track of this now I know where it really comes from. Thanks!

Pretty sure Matt designed the Atlas and mounts prior to it to make the bottom left hand corner of the screen visible using vision from both eyes. Showing through a single camera lens gains the same effect as closing the right eye, which does, yes, prevent that side of the screen from being seen. Not so with both eyes open.

This looks to sit way to far from the dash compared to other swivel mount! It looks way to noticeable from the side when tilted. Do you have comparison on distance from the other swivel mount to the atlas plus?

It still lowers the screen about an inch lower than stock, which blocks the charging trays even more. I'll wait for a version that raises it about an inch above stock to make it more line of sight and easier access to the tray.

Is there an issue with the wire length. If not, I'm not sure why they lower the height. Also at over 300 dollars it's triple the amount i guessed before the FTG said the cost. I can wait another 6 month for the price drop.

@@joeputz4559 No issue with the wire length at all. As far as the screen being lower, I don't think much can be done about that due to the design of the car. But don't quote me on that. Matt from Tech Forum might be able to address this better than me.

Im interested mainly in bringing the screen closer to me and adjusting for glare. The "charging" area is useless to me, my phone has no wireless charging, and I'm breaking the habit of leaving my phone in the car.

I think I might get this for my wife so the screen is closer for her older eyes. When I'm finally able to get my Y I will definitely get this for my knee's and easier visibility...

@@chezchezchezchez Definitely not, probably the other way around more like. FYI, an Uber driver told me that he picks up or drops off many seniors at Tesla services to have a service done on their Tesla's and that many of them use their Tesla's at night and use the auto lane change feature for merging and lane changes, and are grateful that they are no longer afraid to drive at night and therefore watch and look after the grandkids etc. because they feel safer driving a Tesla with the enhanced auto pilot/drive.

I ordered the atlas+ during the Black Friday season at $355. After delivery, a month later, I installed it with the help of their videos and FTG’s video, without much effort. I’ve been happy with it, though the pitch tension screws need a bit of tightening, but I’ve not felt it important enough to actually do. The cheap ones from abroad are not as well engineered, and the way they move when adjusting make it difficult to get back to where it was if you’re sharing with a passenger.

Changing the stock screen mount to a swivel type mount shouldn’t void any warranty. The Magnuson Moss Warranty Act protects the vehicle owner when making modifications as long as there isn’t damage caused by neglect or accident.

How does it affect the passenger? Is the screen more in their space?

Not really. It's just a little less inviting because it's tilted away from them. I just make sure to tilt it their way when watching Netflix while charging.

You can see them just fine. For me, it was mainly the car icon on the bottom left menu that I couldn't see with the Atlas Mount. Now with the Atlas Plus I can see it.

Any issues of voiding Tesla's warranty? Now a days I would think if you brought this in for service it would give them good reasoning to decline any warranty work.

I would like to order it, but I have questions. I posted a comment on their official youtube video and never got a response, and tried the same on their facebook page with no reply. The "store" pages don't have any contact information, so there's no way to reach them if there's an issue with the product or I need help with installation. I'm really reluctant to spend that much money on something from someone you can't even send an email to. Pretty disappointed.

The back is definitely a deal breaker for me, too many hinges and wires are exposed, I wouldn't buy a product like this

This is 100% American made. Every part is made in America. It is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum. Believe it or not, there is not much mark up in this.

@Tech Forum made in America doesn't mean it is not overpriced. A $355 screen swivel mechanism? I'm just saying why people are buying less expensive ones. We buy lots of things that are NOT made in America. Actually, most of the things that we buy and own are NOT made in America.

The ONLY thing for me is I have NO DIY skills... so installing this is my only challenge. I guess I need to "man up." As I find the Atlas+ attractive. Especially to me as a driver, I am alone 99% of the time anyway, so who cares... Also I am sure he can/will develop a cheap 3D printed cover for those "vane" users who don't like the +. 😊

Yes. Very frustrating. There are so many out there in rotation and I just don't understand how anyone can find them to be anything but garbage. I see so many people brag about their awesome (generic brand) mount and unfortunately I just don't have the reach to get the message out to everyone that there is a MUCH better product available.

Actually, it takes the Chinese copycat companies about 6 months to copy something. But, yes, it will get copied even though it is patented.
