This is BULLSh~T - a new battery is much more expensive. Go and research it before believing this lie. A new battery can cost more than the car is worth. And you will need a new battery sooner than you think. Best thing to do is lease a Tesla… and know that you are not ‘saving the planet’, as a new battery puts out as much CO2 as driving a gas car ~100,000 km.

Chris, When you were speaking about Predictive energy usage and range it left me with a question. Does Tesla's predictions take into account elevation changes? My Wife has a Volkswagen ID.4 and it struggles with planning charging stops in my area because it's not accounting for extra range loss due to the changes in elevation we have out here. Tesla software is so much further along than everyone else, I wonder if it has taken that into account.

The constant SW updates would be great if the updates would make driving better. I have my tesla for a few years now and I think the driving automation is rather getting worse than better. I already shut down all automatic systems, just because they don't work as they should.

Hey Chris! I got a question, I'm ordering a model y but still cant deiced which one to get, Long range or performance, do you notice any different in ride quality? especially the 2023 models?
@EverydayChris
@EverydayChris 10 ай бұрын
The newer ones have a softer suspension, no matter what the performance with the big rims will make it bumpier! So it ride quality is biggest issue go with long range

Maybe I'm misunderstanding it but you said don't completely charge your batter but then soon after said to leave the Tesla plugged in...would that not completely charge the battery or have a similar effect of fully charging the battery? Little confused here
@JohnFatCat
@JohnFatCat 3 ай бұрын
You should set a charging ceiling (let's say 80%) to your Tesla with NMC battery so you can never "completely charge your battery" even if you leave your Tesla plugged in.

My 2023 Model 3 with LFP batteries recommends charging to 100% at least once a week. A lot of commenters do not address those differences. So many recommendations are wrong.

Love your videos, but I need your help. I got into the secret service mode and poked around. Used the on screen prompt to exit service mode. All good. But now my iphone Tesla app says the car is in service mode and will not display all the normal app info. I have logged into of the app and turned the phone off. But I cannot get the app out of service mode.Any ideas?

4:09 the "miles" display is NOT based on anything other than the amount of charge the battery has. Driving habits and historical range are not a part of the display at all. Trip range, super charging planning, and the energy tab account for these things. But the "miles" shown by your battery are simply the number of Kilowatt-hours multiplied by some magical EPA number. Whether you drive exclusively in school zones or do literally nothing but drag race, that number will never vary for any reason other than your actual state of charge.
