I have two kids who work for Tesla. They are doing an employee deal for leasing. Question: For a model 3 what would you say the average time and cost is for charging a Tesla at a super station? Also if you plug it in at home using a standard 120 volt, what is the average PG&E cost increase on energy? I am concerned that the insurance will be high and that PGE will skyrocket. Also it is proven that 10 mm sockets are scientifically proven to come off, and role to somewhere you can't get to them! Buy at least two! 😂😂😂😂

You ask the best questions Dan. Average supercharge time is approximately 25 min depending where you fill up and how many people are using it at once. A standard 110 plug at home is too many hours to consider. You want a drier hookup or spa hookup of 220 to really get effective charging in a timely manner. I have a Nema 14-50 port which is really standard for motor homes and what not and I can charge in 4-5 hours overnight. I schedule to begin charging at midnight when offpeak sets in for California and it’s done long before I go to work. My bill? Another area specific question but for me - I have seen a raise of $40 a month on my electric bill and I have no solar or anything additional. I only charge offpeak and I drove around 30K miles a year, so quite a bit of driving for only $40 in charge costs. My accord would cost $250 a month minimum for gas so I’m saving considerably on that. I’ve had it for a year and 4 months and have had zero maintenance costs. At 35K I’ll need new tires, but that should be it. Overall I am incredibly happy with my purchase and enjoy that car much more than my Accord. Last question was regarding insurance. My California casualty insurance went up $26 per 3 month period - so around $78 a year more than the Accord. Hope I’ve answered everything.

@@CaliforniaPhantom yes you did thank you. I forgot you can tell the car when to charge lol If we get the car I am planning a trip to Las Vegas. Guessing around two stops at super stations only. I figured 45 minutes to an hour so find one that is near a Dennys or something and have lunch or a snack. For me I won’t be driving a ton accept when I go into the Bay Area for work which is only a few times a year. I am not upset by a lease since I know battery replacement cost can be high, and on a tight budget I would rather just role into a new model. I was on the EV website and noticed wheel cover options. I’m not sure if those go with the standard ero wheels but looked cool. Also the USB hub and led lighting options are way cool! Ok I’m spending money net before I even bought the thing! lol 😂
