Teslacam Stories is a series of Tesla owners real experiences told by the Tesla Dashcam and Sentry Mode videos. All incidents are recorded from Tesla vehicles and submitted to this channel by other Tesla enthusiast. I contact each person who send me their videos to talk with them and learn more about their story and to follow up what happened after what we see on their video. Voice over and captions are added to describe what happened, and why. I believe that this additional information regarding the incident gives the videos a newsworthy value.
From the footage and additional information, a viewer can learn the consequences of bad driving and can educate his/her self with better driving safety. This process also gives the videos a great educational value. It is my desire to add my own unique and creative value in a transformative way to ensure you enjoy and learn from the videos being presented.

The overtake on the truck about the golf, the preference was for the first car behind the truck... the overtake tesla made over 3 cars and 2 trucks at once was dangerous...

Also, in Germany it's not allowed to overtake several cars like he did. Basically the Tesla driver reported himself.

In France this is allowed, until you have enough space to overtake. So this is not impossible this guy wasn't aware of this part of germane road code. Also despite the Tesla wasn't allowed to perform this overtake, and despite the Golf was in his right, this move could have endend by a deadly accident. So i would refzrence to another rules on roads that (i think) should be common sense, wich is don't put anyone in danger because you are thinking you are in your right ...

Can't pass on the right.... black truck is at fault: “The driver of a vehicle overtaking another vehicle proceeding in the same direction shall pass at a safe distance to the left thereof and shall not again drive to the right side of the roadway until safely clear of the overtaken vehicle."

@@TheRealMK67 you're allowed to pass on the right in many places, but you're still not allowed to switch lanes through a traffic light or swerve into a lane when another car has the right of way. its more of a common courtesy to not pass on the right

@@brianwest2775 I believe you mean he should have driven defensively and reacted to the guy who was changing lanes without signaling. Especially coming up on the right and into a vans blind spot which is quite large.

The Benjamin clip at 6:00 was equal fault. In most states, it’s illegal to pass more than one vehicle at a time when driving in oncoming traffic. Granted that the Vw driver should have looked, the Tesla shouldn’t have tried to pass 4 vehicles

In the US, brake checks can cost you your driver's license, depending on which state you're in and the circumstances. It's considered aggressive driving.

i will agree the van is at fault, but I actually recognized the truck, that guy has shown up to car/truck meets and purposefully parked his truck an inch or less from the driver door of a few cars every single times he showed up, did burnouts, and revved his engine... he was the only one doing it cause everyone else respected the spot and were told exactly not to do those things. he has been one of the main reasons that our Taco Tuesday (weekly car meet & cruise hosted at a local Taco Bell) was shut down, then again at Chandler Pavilions, and again at Gateway Pavilions. that guy is an ass hole and will probably continue to be an ass hole

Well, you can help the car stop _a bit_ faster by _very very gently_ pressing the brake pedal. Key point is to not shift the car's center of gravity around. That means, no hard steering as well.

I like watching these videos because people don't show or talk about the crazy stuff they do afterwards. Like Ben here at 6:19 he already avoided one accident. But then right before the video cuts off you can see him slam on the brakes in front of a driver he already knows doesn't pay attention. If they hit him the trucks behind them would probably be involved also.

Since I got my Model 3 last week, I tend to park away from other cars, and try to avoid the crowded part of parking lots (would rather spend 30 more seconds walking than risk someone opening their door into my car). When I went to Walmart the other day, when I came out there were 2 more Model 3's, in the same part of the lot mine was, parked in every other spot. Then when I went to a museum yesterday, I found an area that had 6 Teslas, and found it was an EV charging spot I didn't know about. Sweet. I also drive conservatively and very defensively most of the time...I do use autopilot but I take over if I ever get even slightly nervous about something. I don't want to be hit, even if it is the other person's fault. Also, racing on public roads, even if friendly and with the best of intentions, is extremely dangerous. It's illegal for a reason. I have nothing against friendly competition, but take it to a track or something.

When I was in HS, we were going home from school. My mom decided to pick up food instead of cooking so we took another route. There was a 10 wheeler truck in front of us, but it was maybe 1000 feet away. Then, without any warning, my mom and I screamed because we saw four wheels from the truck coming off and hurtling towards us. Idk wtf happened but my mom managed to avoid them. I wish dash cams were available so we can see how badass my mom was that day. 😛😂
