Tesla Won the Charging War & EA Fail (Electrify America) NACS VS CCS

EA (Electrify America). Just can't get things together. This location build out has/had been complete for 1 1/2 years. Transformer in place, and still not on. Quite sad. Tesla knew what they were doing with the supercharger network. Nice, reliable, superchargers. I will state, about 1 month after this video was recorded, EA FINALLY turned on the stations. It's been hit-or-miss with the reliability. the first couple weeks random stalls were out of service. Finally around Mid-December everything came online and appears to finally be relatively solid. They have been fairly busy with the Non-Tesla EV's, and now seeing the majority of the negatives being slow charge rates.

Unbelievable! Yes sir, more of OUR tax dollars being wasted. Same here, 10 years and 7 Tesla Model S's and never once had a problem finding a charger to charge my car. I do believe that's why almost everybody goes with Tesla.

Thats what I was told earlier in the year by someone working on the station! There was another location, I believe Green Bay, Wi. Same thing, about 1 1/2 years! What I was told, is EA was building the stations out as fast as possible to get the Government Handout, and then taking their time getting them functional, as the stipulation was to build stations/locations, not actually get them powered up.

Hey buddy, long time no see. I finally got my Tesla some time ago and on top of reliability - it's also more convenient. Just plug and charge, no extra hassle required. If I had to change one thing - I'd prefer to get 1 invoice per month instead of after every session. Plus they recently increased price on all SuC locations in my country :( and it's no longer lower than "everyone else".

CONGRADULATIONS! Welcome to the family! That is one of the reasons I'm keeping my MS & MX for the long haul. Not too much that can go wrong that costs a lot to fix. Drive unit, $4-6k, Battery, I can get Non-Tesla refurbished for around $8k, otherwise I plan to upgrade both cars to 100 kWh batteries at time of failure or warranty is up. Having the Free Unlimited Supercharging Forever is worth it's weight in gold! I see people micro-managing their supercharger use as they have to pay. Sitting with the heat off so it doesn't cost more, etc... I love the FUSC, I just plug in and use it without worries!

I'm not sure what will happen to EA as a company once all of their Volkswagen settlement funds run out, which will happen in a year or two. Cycle 4 is their last round of funding. About the only good thing is EA's simple name of Electrify America. I think some other charging network will buy up EA's intellectual property and otherwise start fresh. Few EA stations can charge my 800-volt Kia EV6 at full power. I went over 3 months without a perfect charging session and it wasn't my car's/battery's fault. That's unacceptable. I'm eagerly awaiting access to the Supercharger network in my EV6⚡⚡⚡
