I was about her age in the back seat when my parents drove their brand new 64 Bel Air home from the dealer, it was a 6 cylinder though, no ps or pb and definitely no a/c but they were proud of it and drove it for 8 years before trading it in on a 72 Delta 88, they'd come up in the world!

I drove the same model & color 283 wth AC . North On I 95 Home to BOSTON from Camp Lejeune Marine base ,6/19 /82 after a four yr. Hitch . That was a NICE RIDE . In many ways!!!!!!! I’ll be calling ya !!!! Jack

A new accelerator pump will take care of that hesitation problem. Quick and easy fix!

Wow!!!thank you nick; I've been asking you to do this 64; man I love this 64; the283 pulls good and it's a smooth ride; I had one but it was a two door; I got two person interested to buy my house here in Puerto Rico; but we have a very strict curfew; you could only go to pharmacy or to buy food; and odd and even numbers to be able to drive; hope this covid 19; gets under control soon; nick excellent video 👍; also nice what maple motors did for the firemen👍

hey nick....that hesitation could be the vacume advance on the distributor bad....or the accellerator pump in the carb bad....either way easy fixes....nice car....great price....wish i lived closer....

The carburetor I believe just needs a little clean with gumout carburetor cleaner and to readjust the the air and the fuel ports that's all.

Whoa with AC 283 that amazeing not after market either original AC vents on dash so rare option ..this is a nice one ..again that compressor is nothing to obatain these days...easy fix..

And replace the accelerator pump, check the check ball and power circuit on that 2GC. Then set the float level. - Sandy
