I owned a 1970 Chevelle, 396-375horse-cowl induction. Fastest car I ever owned. Blue with black stripes. Sick I ever got rid of it.

IMO, Its actually a selling point not being numbers matching. Wont lose value if the new owner swaps in a 502 BBC.Nothing better imo than a 70 Cranberry red Chevelle SS

You didn't get the cowl induction flap to go up. Wonder if that is what the switch was for. Sounds like a rock crusher trans. Looks like 12bolt rear-end yummy!

Possibly the vacuum module for the cowl flap is bad. Lack of vacuum makes it open and vacuum closes it. So when you stomp on it you lose vacuum causing it to open.

Replacement floor pans not properly installed. looks like everything leaks in drivetrain. Poor dash fit / condition. More like a low $20K car.
