The detail in this Fokker F50 is amazing for that year. The steps from the fuselage are well made and the rivets on the plane it self , not to mention the interior! Ok, some things weren't ok. Back to the future, what went wrong! 2021.

I've made a video about the Fokker 50 myself as well. I really like it, especially with the Garmin GTN 750. Great video you have made here Aus! You really putting it into perspective :)

Nice video Shane! I fully agree with you that Carenado needs to update the sounds of their aircraft and make more spots clickable in the cockpit, but I would say that their Fokker F50 is still a nice aircraft. Imo they focus more on eyecandy than making their aircraft a bit more in depth. As always, great work!

It's always this same with Carenado! Their 3D models are awesome. They make so beautiful aircraft. But the FMS always is trash! I would have bought this aircraft. But without a working FMS, it's a no go for me. Sorry for that Carenado. My suggesting: Hire a programmer, who is able to make at least a 90% working FMS!

i would buy half of their fleet if the systems and flight model were descent, a real shame as there are very few good addons

Great video of the Fokker F50! Brings back great memories. Hughes Airwest Airlines was the main regional carrier in my hometown during the early 1970's. Owned by the famous aviator Howard Hughes, their flagship was the Fairchild F27 and/or the streched version FH-227 - both variants of the Fokker F27 Friendship, produced via licensing agreement between Fokker and Fairchild. The airplanes were bright yellow with a blue triple diamond on the tail. SFO was one of their main hubs. Some good vintage films of the airplanes are available on KZfaq. I never got a chance to fly in the F27, but it's remains high on my wish list. Cheers!

I tired of P3D and took a good 6-8 months off and got back heavy into DCS. Just moved back 100 gigs of Orbyx, aircraft etc and I am shocked and how few addons have been released for P3D. Carenado is the fast food of addons and compared to the DCS ones I just cannot pay that for another basic A-B- land hanger queen.

No not really, don't really have issue with any airports except for this one. I just picked up, so i'm sure I will work it out. Cheers for the question and for checking out the video.

One of the Airports was Olympic Dam, I was flying the Alliance Fokker 50's and the runway was unpaved.

nice and beautiful rendition ot the F50 aircraft it's a pity they don't make it at study level, even the documentation is very basical. Do you now if cerenado has study level aircraft ?, which one would you recommend ?

Erik, thanks for checking out the video. To answer your question. None to my knowledge. I would say the king air and the F50 would be the closest I have come across. But not study level.

Hi, I was wondering if you could help me by telling mew how to adjust the cockpit's definition. Im not sure how to describe it, but it seems the letters, surfaces and buttons are moving. I have a Nvidia 1070 and my monitor is a Samsumg 4K. I have tried every other combination and I cant get it to see it the way it shows on your videos. Any suggestions please?

I see you took off with the TO CONFIG warning. Has anybody figured out the criteria for satisfying that? Or is in another Carenado bug?

The cockpit of this is ugly. Not a fan of Carenado, they charge too much and they don't have accurate flight models or systems

They include a app called GTN switch. You can find the instruction in the manual. Cheers

Go to your P3D folder, SimObjects, Airplanes, Carenado F50 and inside there should be an executable file "F1GTN750F50", execute it, you're done. Make sure you're not running the sim when you do it.

If you want something that looks, fly's great and has limited system. Then I would recommend this.

Virgin Australia Regional Airlines don't use the F60, they use the F100 only. The F60 has more powerful engines then the F50

Aus Flight Simmer no worries. Maybe mention the speeds next time. You did mention the altitude (24,000 feet) so next time mention both the altitude and speed. Great review too, good work. Graphics of the aircraft are very realistic. The sounds could be better but having said that they are better sounds then previous F50 simulators.
