I got 13/15. But I can learn more new words than the wrong answers I made. - biodegradable packaging - dormant for plants - have a fascination - lucrative - reach proficiency So I write down the 15 sentences as watching the clip again. These sentences are beutiful. I'm reading them out loud and hope to use them myself someday. I'm sure I can reach proficiency in English with Vanessa's lesson😄👍

You are a piece of treasure. Each time I play your video I instantly start smiling. But that's not the important. My daughter hates speaking English, because she gets a little overwhelmed, we speak one language at home, she speaks another at school and they study English as foreign language. But when I play your video she responds to you :D She starts pretending you both have a dialogue. Carry always that sunshine you possess.

Most these words derivative from latin, so as a portuguese speaker it was pretty easy for me recognize them. It's nice to know that being a latin language speaker can be an advantage 🙂. Thank you so much for the video!!

I agree that your native language can really help with learning vocabulary! When I was beginning to grow my French vocabulary, I could use a similar word from English. 😊But when I was growing my Korean vocabulary, there were no similarities.😭

It's been about four years since I found Vanessa's lessons and today on this test I answered 14 out of 15 questions. I failed on 12th question, I didn't know the meaning of Lucrative. Anyways, I'm proud of myself. Thank you Vanessa! You are the best teacher ever!

Hi Vanessa! Most of the words you used have a common latin root, so for people who speak spanish like me is easy to respond correctly. However, the danger of mistake in a hard test is real when teachers use false cogenete or 'false friends' in the alternatives to complete the gaps. For example 'actually' doesn't mean 'actualmente' in spanish but could lead you to confussion as student. Thanks for this video and I hope to visit your channel again. Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱
