I'd bet that disposable plastic forks are used often by him. It is great to have a tool to get in and pick at something that will get gummed up and ruined that you can then throw away.

Yes, a bit frustrating from an audience perspective. They just have bad social interaction skills, and honestly I'm surprised they're hosts. I have this issue to a small degree, but then again, I'd never accept a hosting position.

I feel like they know something we dont, and that Adam may be a long winded kind of person. They (including him) may be used to this and it's only frustrating for us. Surely it accelerates video editing time. Let's face it, nobody wants to be stuck editing video for longer than they need to when one can be working with Adam and his crew of awesome people.

I feel your pain. I work in a body shop.. My tools are in closed drawers and still get covered in dust. But no its not an issue at all... Just gets your hands/clothes dusty.. But if your in a dusty environment that shouldnt be an issue..

@@geomod6850 I like to use drum liners for tarps. They're big and round. The tarps are open on the sides unless you take extra time to lash them tight. Then it's a pain to get them off. Yep drum liners that's the way to go. WD-40 is a good rust preventer. I use that on many of my tools. The downside is that it attracts dust.

Your situation is completely different than Adam's, so it's natural that your tool storage solution would be different. What you have now makes sense for your current needs, and it is great that you are happy with it. The advantages you list for your system are accurate, however, you leave out the disadvantage. You sacrifice the ability to grab any tool at any time, costing you speed. And it means you are putting tools down somewhere other than their designated storage place. That's a recipe for creating a messy work environment, and possibly losing a tool. Cases can be made to be hung on a rack while open, allowing instant access. Cases with the tools you use less often can be stored on the back side. The cart can be made to fold for travel. It's wheeled base will help you move your heavy tools around airports.

Just because I have a mobile tool setup does not mean it is unorganized or messy. Case in point: I have one case that holds my 20v impact, 20v hammer drill, 20v charger, hole saw kit, 40pc HS drill set, 10pc masonry bit set, impact rated driver bits (standard through security), stepper bits, tap set with cutting oil and a few custom rotary tools I have created. (NOTE: the saws, drills and driver bits are all in bespoke cases within the main case for organization) While this kit does not specifically meet Adams F-O-R standard it does contain within a standard size box (the previously mentioned Rigid system) everything needed to make holes and attach fasteners in most materials. There is also the point that on job sites you seldom work directly from your transport cases but rather from small task bags or tool belts. You aren't sitting a pristine workbench with your cup of coffee, you are climbing ladders, working from lifts, trudging through mud and in general having to deal with whatever conditions the site delivers. You carry only the tools needed for each specific task. You also seldom have a "shop" area on a job site where you can run open, unsecured tool systems. Those who do not keep there tools locked up an a job are typically the ones having to borrow yours because theirs were stolen. Yes, Adam's situation is different from mine. He basically has a big box of toys in his own private playground and I have to make a living with my tools where ever the job takes me.

Re-read my comment. I never said your system was unorganized, or messy. I said you waste time with it. However, if you only work from tool belts, that's a different thing entirely. Feel free to insult people who work in shops, if that makes you feel superior.

This is insinuating that my system is unorganized and therefore messy. If you can sit in one location and have all of your tools within immediate reach then you really don't have that many tools. And if you have the discipline to have an organized shop tool system then you have the discipline to have an organized mobile tool solution. Yes, things can get messy on job sites but that is why I work small task groups then return to my tool area to reset for the next set of tasks. It was not an insult but an opinion built over 40 years about the difference in work techniques and methodologies between those who only work in there own shops and those who have to work in a wide variety of environments and situations. I have worked with many people who were great craftsmen in their own spaces but couldn't cut it in the field because they couldn't adapt their fixed shop routines.

Looks like the main cam is an ungraded (or badly graded) sony and the b cam is a canon. It doesn't cut well and is distracting! Pity as it's a good video all the same.

I bought a full set of ethicon endosurgery tools for $10@swap meet; the locking titanium truly needle nosed pliers are very handy and surprisingly complicated with their multilink jaws- fits easily down drinking straws with jaws shut, but shafts don't flex whatsoever

Abe Lincoln s working on boat wiring and plumbing upgrades, i found usb borescopes, crochet hooks that could be rebent (not aluminum or plastic) and those crescent extended needle noses( after some grinding) worked better for the amount of grip I needed with 5200 slopped upon wires and fasteners. Also, buy cheap bolt cutters and grinder the jaws into whatever esoteric bank breaking tool you need, like a crimper. They all will either sink some day or rust up anyways and making new tools periodically makes the job more fun. Get a vacuum with a long bendable snout.and put a course filter net in between it and vac hose to grab non magnetic boat fasteners that fall and sawdust extraction. Marinade injectors help epoxy application.
