The liars on cheats!!! I remember getting Smackdown 2. Being sad Shamrock wasn’t in it. Found a cheats page that said when you complete 5 years of season you unlock Shamrock and Big Show. I simmed through FIVE YEARS. All the cutscenes. The loading. Finish year 5. Nothing. I’ll never forgive that little lying brat.

I was so sad when my game erased itself since I got one of the early production carts. So many memories trying to complete the story modes 100% but a very fun game!

This channel actually taught me that you can steal taunts from your opponent and play dead, I've never known either one until I watched nL, so kudos bois.

pretty simple one, but do a special ref match at turn KOs on. Then, as the ref, knock someone out. You can then declare yourself the winner.

I don't know if anybody will see this, but here's my tip: Everyone knows in Championship Mode that there are a LOT of handicap matches... But have you ever noticed that when you're outside of the ring, the AI likes to stay in the ring and taunt? You can use that to your advantage! Get yourself and one of your opponents outside of the ring (if you start backstage, you'll need to get to the ring first) and attempt to make them tap out by using the same submission over and over again (or different ones so long as they target the same section of the body.) Once you've damaged them enough, they eventually will, regardless of if it's falls count anywhere. If it isn't falls count anywhere, this will activate the "LOSING IT!" State on your opponent's momentum meter. Making them tap again will make them tap quicker. Do this a few more times and they will near-instantly tap out when you lock a hold in. Now throw them back into the ring and lock them into a hold one final time and they should tap before their partner has the ability to break them out! This trick isn't 100% fool-proof, as your opponent's partner may decide to come out after you, in which case, you can just run from them, but it works on almost all handicap matches, save for the few that have you locked in a specific area backstage, in which case, you can still use this strategy, just make sure to get as much distance in-between your opponents as possible, the Irish whip will help tremendously. This isn't necessarily a big tip, but it may just help you on your next European Championship Vs. Corporate run. (God damnit, Shane.)

I just got a NEW BUG I've never seen. You have to setup a Hardcore Tornado Tag Team Match, and activating TKO as a way to win. P1 then knocks out P3 for real, I mean, to win the match, and exactly when P3 can't get up anymore, P2 brings P4 to another room (I knocked P3 in the parking lot, then P2 took P4 to the hallway) and you'll hear the bell ringing, because P2 was knocked out, but, if you time it well, it rings right when P2 and P4 exits the room. Once this happens, P2 can't be dragged into rooms (P2 just get irish-whipped or smashed against the entrance like it is a wall) and if gets knocked out again, the KO won't let you win the match. I discovered it today by accident with 3 CPUs, so I think having two humans would let you replicate it faster.

The part where cactus has no opponent was supposed to be dude love and branch off into cactus vs dude love. When game boy color, which would’ve unlocked dude love, was cancelled it messed up cactus story. That’s why there’s the line about partying with him in the ring.

I just love seeing all these tricks and Easter eggs in wrestling games. PLEASE do more if you can!

I remember little me being SO SO SO hyped for this game coming out.... It got delayed and I was sad. I called the game store randomly one day and he was like "It's just come in!" and its safe to say I've never ran so fast in my life since that day.

21:45 Now I'm imagining doing a championship mode where *everyone* except the player has joined the RTC, turning the WWF into a dystopia nightmare of shirts & ties. Or another where the Ministry of Darkness has taken over & turned the WWF into a doomsday Cult. Black gear, goth eyeliner & Acolyte chest paint for all! Actually, I kind of like the idea of massive faction warfare where everyone is a member of two or three mega-factions a la NWO vs WCW. Like the Blue Meaniestry against DX.

I can definitely feel you on the cheat codes and tricks that turn out to be pure bullshit, or having that one friend who tells you that you can do this and this happens and it's just not true, like one "friend" of mine once said you could use Eddie's Lowrider to kill someone in SVR06 and one person said you could use Lei Wulong's gun in Tekken 2

I loved No Mercy growing up and it was the first game I ever bought for MSRP shortly after release. Here's a few tips I learned about the game, from order of how awesome my preteen brain found them: 1. Skull Belt (Variant): After successfully completing the first chapter for the WWF championship, go to a title match. Have Stone Cold Steve Austin win by submission, pin fall, or TKO and the game will show him with the skull belt. This variant is white instead of the traditional bronze/brown. 2. Steal opponent's taunt: Focus your wrestler at the wrestler you want to taunt. Then, rotate the Analog-stick in full circle. Your wrestler will do the opposing wrestler's pose. Note: This only works when you are not being attacked. 3. Other people doing the Too Cool dance: Edit the fourth costume (with the shades) of Rikishi and Too Cool to be any other characters you want. Start a match that can result with Too Cool dancing after they win using any member of Too Cool or Rikishi versus any opponent. If you win, the appearance of the person that you set in their fourth slot should appear during the dance instead of Grandmaster Sexay, Scotty Too Hotty, or Rikishi (depending on who you change it to). This will also show up in the opening video.

The revering special, isn’t reversing the actual move, it’s blocking the grapple, you swat the arms away and they can’t use their special on you

I didn't grow up with this or Mania 2000 so I didn't have as much appreciation for these games. This honestly gave me such an appreciation for this game. Not only for the funny glitches but even stuff the dev team put specifically in secret wondering if anyone would ever discover or find it.

When Johnny said “21 year anniversary” I thought “wow that’s a old game. Way older then me” until I realized I’m 20 turning 21 this year. God where the hell does time go.

As a kid I read on some sketchy cheat site that you could unlock the Inferno match if you beat the WWE Championship mode twice in a row with Kane, on hard mode, without resetting the game. My friend was coming over the next day and I was determined to unlock it before he showed up. I wasted a whole Friday night and stayed up late doing it just to find out it didn't work, I was so pissed.

I know in Here Comes The Pain you can escape the Elimination Chamber very easily. Have someone on a pod and be on the top rope under them and do a top rope spear, you’ll land in the pod and then walk out.

The amount of detail that was put in this game is so cool.

Never played No Mercy (somehow missed it and got the Attitude game on PS1) but seen so much of you guys playing it having fun and the Kingiest No Mercy round was one of my faves I'm gonna give it a whirl

It’s great to see No Mercy explored on a casual level. I’ve hacked the game to death so I forget these simple things. One thing that wasn’t mentioned in this video is a glitch where The Kat replaces Triple H as champion in Championship Mode. I don’t know why or how it happens, but I’ve seen it happen on actual hardware.

This was a pretty fuckin cool video! Very digestable format and as somebody who used to be really into glitches, it's cool how many of these actually worked.

Thank you for this. When I was like 11, I once went through the entire career mode on WWF Attitude as Chyna to unlock Test thanks to some asshole who lied on the Internet. I was VERY new to the Internet at that time and was young, of course. Learned my lesson. But good to know I wasn't the only one who fell for something like this. In my defense, Test and Chyna were connected in storylines at the time, so it made a lot of sense to me that it would be real. Good lie. A lot of them are unbelievable to the point no one would fall for them.

About the joystick playing dead thing - in previous AKI games you could also use the joystick to kick out of pins/submissions instantly. I know it was in World Tour and Revenge, not sure if they took it out of Wrestlemania 2000 but I know it didn't work in No Mercy

The amount of time I spent playing this game can’t be measured in hours or days, I had a GameShark at the time and there was some CRAZY cheats they had for it they even had a hell in the cell mod that was suppppper glitchy and would crash the game. Between this, WM2000 and revenge man that was the life back then!!

This is like the only channel that can make me laugh every time 🤣

I remember one "trick" I kept seeing on those old boards was the one where if you went to the locker room and started repeatedly irish whipping your opponent into the whiteboard back there, eventually (the number of times you had to do would change from poster to poster) the white board would shatter like a glass window, and then you could fight in both the locker room and hallway.

You guys remember when the gif of the Smackdown minitron cut a promo on Cactus Jack after Mankind got Thanos snapped away? Attitude Era was crazy

The best thing about playing this on pc. You can take the textures from wcw feel the bang mod and literally have 18 of the top wcw superstars put in the roster as well by simply swapping out in game textures by color.

As far as reversing special goes. I do believe it's the back grapple. (counter grapple with special). That has to be on your character in the create a wrestler. There isn't any special animation, but it will pretty much go down the way it's advertised in the create a wrestler menu. They did the whole iconic counter sweet chin music with the stunner.

You can also dive through the corners, even through a ladder too, and one thing I never knew you could do is grab weapons from the crowd while in front of the titantron

The only way to counter a finisher is to counter the grapple before you get in it.

this game was so ahead of it's time, when you have a special as steve austin or set it to a caw, you could catch the kick press taunt to give your opponent the finger then give him a stunner, not sure if you would spin the opponent around before giving said stunner. lol just saw they went over this...forget i said anything 😅

I was 18 when this game came out this was my favorite game this is the reason why I bought a Nintendo 64 the only issue I had was the glitch I had to return the game and get another copy praying that the new copy didn't have that glitch
