Bruh, that Mantis took a beating and survived. That off road route was the true test of any scooter. That's a beast of a scooter. Keep us on check with that creaking handle bars. The Mantis Pro SE looks great, reliable, durable and sturdy. Thanks for the time and effort put in this review, much appreciate and respect.

Creaking can be simply caused by dry surfaces rubbing together.Also loose headset tube connections. Lot's of tentions are there.

Ive had my mantis pro 10 for a few weeks now, I weigh 240 and im shocked at how well it handles the woods. I live in the uk were scooters are still banned so I try to stay off road as much as possible. Ive put 300 miles on it so far and it hasn't given me one problem, also ginger is a great guy, I messaged him when I first got it with a few questions, and he literally got back to me with in minutes, thanks again bro.

I had a zero 10x and a Kaabo Mantis at the same time and still have the Mantis, I'm 6.1 and the higher bars on the mantis are definitely more comfortable for me. I changed the tires for 3in and it was easy with the split rim but the extension for the mudguard was not fitting any more, I had to attach it with screws on the fender.

One of the first things I did with my Mantis Pro was adjust that stiff suspension. Huge difference!
@GingerOnWheels3 жыл бұрын
I was told it isn't adjustable. How on earth did you adjust it?
@BrewSir3 жыл бұрын
@@GingerOnWheels it's a bit of a pain, but with 2 number 6 Allen wrenches you loosen up the bolts on the sides where the suspension is. One wrench holds it in place while the other actually comes loose. You get one side out, then with a smaller wrench and a hammer, you insert from where you unscrewed and knock it out to the other side until you can see a hole underneath the scooter's suspension. I think with a number 5 allen, you can unscrew to loosen it up and it'll expand. Only thing is that it makes the scooter a little higher off the ground.
@BrewSir3 жыл бұрын
Maybe it's not recommended, but I'm pretty light weight so I felt like I had to. Out of box, the Mantis didn't even know I was on it haha

@@BrewSir ok. So those steps remove the bolt holding the suspension on, but how do you actually adjust the suspension? Is it the same spring or aftermarket dnm type shocks?

@@GingerOnWheels same spring. From underneath, after you knock the shaft to the side, it'll reveal a hole directly under the spring. You can screw/unscrew with a long 5(I think) Allen to loosen/expand the spring or tighten it back

I have DEFINITELY noticed that shorter bars give me way more control when off road or on tight dirt/gravel like trails. I'm also more nimble on crowded inner city streets & alley ways as well. It just feels like I have a much better control of the scooter overall. I used to ride with my bars as high as possible bc I'm so tall. Just always assumed that was what I was supposed to be doing, but it didn't take me long to figure out that I prefer low bars. It allows me the ability to completely control everything so much more.

G’day Ginger, I bought the 2021 Mantis with the Samsung 60V x 24.5AH. I get atleast 40 miles in distance when cruising on the cycle paths about 20 miles per hour. I absolutely love this scooter. Nice, I did some trail riding on my review as well. I should have tried the offroad tires, the stock tires and firm suspension made anything beyond smooth paths not super fun. I love watching your videos, adrenaline rush watching them. I have a dilemma, I like off leash hiking with my dogs, I have done kick sledding and kick scootering with them but I recently developed a hip issue when it is too painful to kick or cycle and to do long hikes so both the dogs and I are missing out. I’m trying to find a escooter or ebike that can manage a steep up hill, that if I have to push will not be too heavy for me, I’m 5 foot 4 inch. I love the look of the wolf but it probably has too much power for what I need as I will be going relatively slow hikes with the dogs as they stop to sniff and poop but there will be running too. Walks are not long distance 6 km. Just need something that will holds up to steepish grass and gravel and narrow trails which are not rooty. I’m in Canada so something that will hold up to frozen ground that might be partially snowy or icy. If an ebike is better can you recommend one or another reviewer that can suggest one. Thanks again for your awesome videos, so fun to watch.

Good stuff an much appreciated the time you take to do these videos. In my opinion scooter company's use off road as a sales pitch. Most companies barely stock replacement parts hard to get tires an tubes. Why would they suggested to ride a scooter off road an do not stock the appropriate part that will break in a crash. Stem an handlebars, lower swing arm, repairable locking mechanism. If you crashed that scooter could you repair it from the part the company offers?

What is you overall opinion of the mantis? I know people rave about them, but they really just seem meh to me. I am currently looking at the mantis pro se, Apollo phantom, or vsette 10. I know the vsette is probably the nicest, but has the highest price tag.

Mantis won't be a huge power upgrade from your Nanrobot. Its an upgrade but not a big one. For a legit upgrade from the D4+ you need to be specing the VSETT 10+ or better.
