I acquired the BlackMagic Intensity Extreme the other day, and decided to do some capture testing of some Battlefield 3 gameplay. This test had the XBox360 set to 1080i @ 29.97(?), with the BlackMagic Media Express capture software set to 1080i @ 59.94.
Note that I have played around with some effects, transitions and sharpness.
I will be doing a video on how this capture workflow works, even though I'm still working it all out - the Intensity Extreme is a new product with a lot of promise.

Wes, No, or none that I could detect. It was a fear I had, as the Happauge I was using prior to the Intensity Extreme was a true "tap" device. Any signal processing done by the Extreme must be minimal across the HDMI in to HDMI out. The only real downside is that you can't leave the Extreme permanently in the HDMI chain, as it relies on the Mac being on, and the Blackmagic software running (not necessarily capturing though) for a picture to be displayed on the TV.

Actually, there were two ready to go, and I was spamming the left bumper to shoot them, but the game thought I'd not locked on. You can see that by each missile going from "Ready" to a red "Wait" back to "Ready" again. It happened a second time this afternoon too, same map. I had to break lock in order to reacquire lock to shoot the missiles. Just another bug in this rather buggy game, unfortunately.

Gorgeous. Do you notice any lag between the footage on your TV and the footage on the computer? (I'm looking at this to use my mbook as a display for my xbox)
