Wondering if cold spark machines (aka cold sparklers or cold sparkler fountains) will burn you? They have to reach a 550 degree temperature in order to be used (our machines do). We tried to find out, live on video! Do NOT try this!

It’s safe as long as no idiots operating it.. I operate them and I make sure nothing is close to it. And it’s not touching the ceiling at all.. I’ve seen videos online where some idiots point them towards the pompous grass hanging on the ceiling 😐 common sense to never do that..!

Yes, I am cautious, but clearly the ones I have are safe. I even TRIED to burn fake plants with them to see if they would burn (I uploaded the video) and they did not burn at all. I made it a point to buy the lower amp models.

What about flammable clothes that could be on the ground or on tables?

My friend had their spark machines at a friends wedding and it caught the pompous grass on fire someone caught it fast enough and ran it outside, just don’t have anything close to it super flammable.

I've heard something like that. I may do another video where I actually try to catch stuff on fire, just to see what happens. :)

I’m guessing it depends on the machine and or what kind of powder you’re using. I I’ve had mine for a year and a half in multiple setting and never had any fire issues. I’ve been put a table cloth and clothing over the direct spark to test.

@@djhype1983 I am going to test it with the pompous grass, drapery, and dried flowers since that's what most people seem to say the problem is.

Most powders seem to work fine. I would try different ones and see which one you prefer.

Does these go with granules definitely not get close when you don't have eye protections cuz sometimes they don't burn and just becomes a Sandy particles falling in the air

Yes, some granules can come out when you're using the machine, so I would not put my eyes too close to it without eye protection. Good info.

Why not? I still use these exact cold sparks and they are very safe. The operator needs to be as safe as possible at any event, and we are. :) I've seen the viral video showing what happened at the wedding and it's very sad. However, without knowing what they were using, it's hard to tell whether it's the cold sparks (or if they were actually not cold sparks), or if it was an improperly trained technician. It could have been prevented if they had taken the time to be aware of where they set them up.

@AustinsBestDJsTX There are countless articles about these machines not being safe. I would assume that if you're using them, you would have done the research yourself. If not, I suggest you do a search on "are cold spark machines really safe". There you will find your answers.
