Took the 3D Printed crawler out to the woods the other day to see how it performs. Had an absolute blast. I took it easy this time just to see how it would do. Next time, we go harder!

I’m going to tune the suspension a bit more and do another one in a different location. Should be fun.

@@3DPrintSOS And it must be so satisfying to drive it, knowing that you are wholly responsible for its existence. I imagine the body's printed in PLA - did you print the chassis too? Is the design your work as well? What about gearbox and axle housings, etc? I shall anticipate the next outing of this excellent truck with interest.

That one hill was giving you a hell of a time wasn't it? Kicked up some gravel tho when you finally conquered it. I was half expecting a tiny little Fedor to step out when it was done and crack open a beer.

The suspention needs a bit TLC😉...The car is looking awesome👍

Two issues with the shocks. One, they cannot be oil filled because they don’t have an expandable bladder. So that means they are half filled and can’t be tuned perfectly with rebound control. The second problem is the springs are either too soft or too stiff. I have stiff in the rear and soft in the front. It’s not perfect.

@@3DPrintSOS A bladder does not make such a difference...if the shocks are not leaking try to use stiffer oil. Spring setup is all about weight...perfect spring let the car sit 25% into the suspension travel...just as a ground rule 😉

An bladder is literally the only way to fill a shock up all the way without hydro locking. That’s what’s happening here, they hydrolock. Any stiffer oil and they won’t even move. I want maximum action from these, this rc won’t be jumping. Yep, you’re right about the spring rates. I’ve been building RCs since I was kid. So I have some experience. I appreciate the help though.

It has an open diff in the front and a locked rear axle.

I have Alex's v1.3.6 for H32 Beta 2 (BLTouch-5x5-H32.bin) running on my X2 H32. I'm not sure if the CR Touch is compatible yet, or if the one I have is borked as it did not work (wouldn't go down on z-axis), but it is working with a Creality's BL Touch. Print speeds seem a bit higher, so I had to change the temp/flow rate a bit, but so far it's working so much better than stock firmware.

I’m hearing that the Cr touch is bugged in all versions. Not just the beta. I have one working on an older version of Alex’s. But anyone as of recent ive recommended it to has told me it’s not working.
