I think the reason behind having the coil lead exit the coil straight up instead of having it at an angle is that it's less likely to interfere with the coil windings which would create false noises.

In hard hit areas the 11” coil will find sub-grammers the GPZ 7000 missed. However, the 17” coil will not find any gram-plus nuggets the GPZ 7000 missed.

If you run threshold off with big coil on the deck it will pick up very small nuggets my best is .07 of a gram and it seems to be good on fine specimen gold at reasonable depth 👍👍
