testing SM transformer using digital multi meter SM transformer used in SMPS power supply circuit SM transformer works on 10khz - 20khz very high speed switching primary wing of SM transformer is 5 ohm's to 4 ohm's
secondary 3 ohm's to 1.5 ohm's by these we can confirm SM trans former good

Great Video dude,understood on how to diagnose one,can you help me, am stuck in a situation to repair a pid controller the smps section is completely burnt but from the secondary side of transformer looks good, am planning to input a DC 5v on secondary side because the whole board seems to work on 5v dc but there are 5 pins on secondary just have no idea where to connect them on which pin?

In my case the same AUX 0,65 ohm, Primary 1 ohm, Secondary 0,6 Ohm Transformer Model PQ3220 19 V working POWER SUPPLY Issue poor quality multimeter .

actually sm transformer very rarely fails mostly its open primary winding due to high voltage
