Testing SUEHIRO New Cerax

Working procedures are:
1, #1000 grid Diamond Stone to quickly re-profile the damaged cutting edge.
2, #800 grid Suehiro New Cerax to make the new cutting edge finer.
3, #6000 grid Whetstone to polish cutting edge.
4, Lether strapping as final finish.
Main purpose is to test SUEHIRO New Cerax #800 grid. This stone cuts fine, but still fairly soft. You need to soak it first. It feels good after soaking.

您好，看您入了cerax1000 和rika 5000，后来又入了new cerax 800. 请问您是推荐 new cerax 800，1000 ，老cerax1010三者中哪个作为中砥呢？还有配合的高目用理华5000还是白峰6000呢？谢谢

new的要好一点。1010太软，切削也逊色一点。理华和白峰个人感觉差别不大。

How about the durablity of new cerax? I read on the forum that new cerax have bad durability if compared with the old one, especially the combo stone 1000/6000, but for the stand alone how do you think? I watch burrfection he said the cerax have good durability ( he use the old 1010 series one)he even still use that broken stone 4 years+

Hi, thanks for your message. I sell neither Cerax nor New Cerax. So no benefit involved. lol But I used both for quite a long time. Ok, they are both soaking stones. Cerax is the softest one. New Cerax has better grinding material and also a bit harder than Cerax. I also feel Debado MD is the same as Cerax 1010 but just splash and go.

I felt the exact same way about the MD line. My friend told me I was crazy but I think you are completely right the MD does feel exactly like the cerax 1010

Hi, the yellow #6000 is Kyo Higashiyama. But I think it's the same as Imanishi Arashiyama #6000.
