Mr. Barbatos Rex, thank you sharing this video. They say, " You get what you pay for" that spray booth is a great example. I saw them on online and they are awesome. I am a fan of Mr. Hobby Aqueous and the Gundam Color line. They spray nicely and brush well.

Love that blue color. Looks like all ways had great coverage. Low smell for sure a big plus, maybe my wife won't complain.

I do gotta build up my lacquers selection but if anything I think you just sold me on a badger to go with my eclipse airbrush.Man free paint is nothing to just turn away, no less a gussied up set you put together. Paint is expensive but a great investment. Well good luck to whomever gets picked. Excellent content as always.

The coverage on these paints looks really nice and even. Nice to see the car on the desk also. Is it using your Mecha enamel range?. Maybe you could do a special car build vid from go to whoa using some of the techniques and skills you have shared over the last couple of years. Thanks for sharing Robert.

The Pace spray booth is a perfect example of "you get what you pay for", "the right tool for the job", and any number of quips I can think of. There is no exception for the best tool when it comes to safety either. These paint tests are extremely helpful when choosing the right paint for our models too.

Hey @Barbatos. Your videos have been a huge help as a beginner. QQ - I picked up some Mr Hobby Aqueous paints, and have noticed in some of the paints there's some hardish white pigment(?) settling in the bottom. This seems to be happening to the lighter colours. With vigorous shaking for a decent time the white slowly is dissolving into the paints. Is there a better way to do this? Stirring doesn't seem to have a huge effect.

Barbatos rex you can use a silicone pad and rinse it with water and the paint come off , you can find it in confectionery supply stores, it comes in sheets or roll , I hope this helps.

Nice review. can i know what is there specific thinner to use or any can be use? and what primer to use before this aqueous paint. As for the panel linning can i use tamiya panel line accents after water base gloss top coat? what thinner to remove the excess of panel line so that it wont damaged the top coat ? or the layer below.

Been watching your videos for a while and am always happy with your music recommendations. You should check out Polyphia, they're an instrumental prog rock band with lots of variety, and some really heavy moments! My favorite band by a longshot. Shouts to Born of Osiris and Periphery if you haven't heard of them, too.

Maybe you can point me in the right direction. I have been on the hunt for the perfect flat black for use on a Unicorn Banshee kit to replicate the light novel appearance which was actually black instead of the midnight blue that the anime and gunpla kits turned it into. The problem I keep running into is that nine times out of ten when they dry it either comes out more gray than I would like, or the black is so deep that details get lost. And that's just one part of the Banshee puzzle, the other is finding something to give the psychoframe pieces a glow without using LED's and without sacrificing the transparency of the pieces.

Booth looks great, I was at first thinking the same thing man the slant is cutting off a lot of space then I was the shelf "light bulb" came on. I hung a 24" X 24" led light over the shelf got lots of light into the booth like the camera setup I look to setup a camera like that on mine

Just so you know, Justin recommends that you use a psi of 25 to 30 with his gpaints. I know the website and the info on the box doesn't say anything about, so I thought I'd let you know.

Get rid of that corrugated hose and use 3 or 4 inch HVAC duct work and the silver metal foil duct sealing tape at the joints the booth will work even better! I’ve had my Pace booth for 17 years and it is still amazing!

I would really like you to include the weight on the airbrush reviews. I suffer with chronic fatigue, and worry about upgrading to an airbrush and not being able to hold it up and steady enough.

I have the Mr. Color version of the Titans Blue 1. It’s basically dark gray. No matter how hard I squint, as much as I want to see blue, I can’t see any blue either lol.

Yes. It won't give you a problem. Just be sure it's fully cured. Wait a day or two.

Question: Is it possible to use vallejo thinner and flow improver with this paint? Im not going to explode or anything right? I just picked some of this stuff up for my first spray sesh. I realized i got the paint but the store didnt have thinner. I got thinner and flow improver coming in the mail tho.

I'm moving my paint booth to a smaller space.. was wondering if i should switch from lacquer to Aqueous paint for the purpose of minimizing the odor. how strong of a odor if you compare this to lacquer? and does it take away it's effect when using paint brush for weathering? thanks

It doesn't smell as strong for sure. It's a different smell too, it smells closer to rubbing alcohol and Mr Color smells like lacquer thinner

Barbatos, is mr aqueous thinner the only thing you can utilize here? For some reason it’s not carried at hobby lobby along with the paints and i don’t really feel up to waiting days for shipping. Anything else i could get my hands on locally?

I bought the entire line of Mr. Hobby brushes, I couldn’t love them more. Godhand brushes are even better but the silicone handles sold me on Mr. Hobby.

I've seen plenty of your vids, and I'm in the process of moving. I plan to get an entire spray set up, but I never did ask; on average, how long does it take to clean/swap colors?

After you've done it awhile it will take you about 1 to 2 minutes. I have a video where I show how to clean the airbrush between colors. It's to the point that I actually like cleaning it. You get into a zone so to speak 👌

I had a very bad experience with Aqueous paints years ago, was very watery and the paint itself clumped at the bottom and never mixed with the liquid, I dunno whether I got a bad batch or was doing something wrong but I'm a bit hesitant to use these paints again seeing as I have to for an upcoming Gunpla build

I thought you would use the Aqueous thinner with these paints. They recommend using that with this paint.

It's an acrylic lacquer so I just use lacquer thinner, just like Tamiya's acrylics

Both are great but this one has half the smell that Tamiya has. Plus I just tested their primers and those performed awesome. They come in black too which Tamiya for some reason doesn't make.

As far as a solvent based paint this is the lowest odor I've tested.
